Yeah, well your ass is going to end up like Malik then. If you are in your car and obviously drunk, you absolutely have to do what the officer tells you. Whether it's to remain in the car, give him the keys or submit to a field sobriety test. Cops just don't let drunk people walk around and choose what they are going to do and not do around their car. The car is basically a weapon at that point. If Malik had taken off drunk and killed your mom on the road, you'd be screaming, "why didn't the cop do something!".

First time DUI offenses in Canada, can and do result in felonies. In most parts of US it's a misdemeanor for the first couple of times unless you're in accident. If it's an accident with injury then you could be facing a felony for your first DUI offense in the US.
