This is one of those things that sounds odd but wouldnt much matter. There is way too much overlap in the federal government in general and law enforcement in particular. You have one federal branch arresting undercover agents from another. They have way too many departments....

You could call all of it on American soil the FBI and be done with it then call all the rest done elsewhere the CIA and have the same shit happen. Why on earth do we need the DEA, FBI, and local cops all after the same drug dealer with all kinds of conflicting duties and internal beef and not sharing their information? They are literally out here shooting at undercovers from other agencies because they dont communicate.

A lot of it is just nominal anyway. The secret service was placed under homeland security. The coast guard too. You think anyone plans to get rid of the secret service and coast guard?
