OKC comes in at 148mil
Cavs at 144mil.

So according to some on here, they should be the favorites to come out of their conferences, right?
No excuses for "superstar" Love if he doesn't get the Cavs to the Finals, right?

Cavs will only have Love and Nance on the books next off-season. Everybody else is an expirer. They have two Team Options (Sexton/Zizic).

TT, JR, Knight, Clarkson all coming off the books after 19/20 and let's hope Love gets traded for a bunch of picks and prospects.

I love my Cavs through and through, but this is the price they had to pay if they were going to keep the team together after the 2016 championship. But part of the reason they're in this predicament is because after LeBron already left they resigned Love for 5 years. What the actual hell was that about? While Dan Gilbert made a few good choices in his ownership, he has a pile of boneheaded ones too.
I'm not really invested into following the Cavs until the rebuild is actually on it's way. It's not like there's a game on and I have to watch it. Too many strings of the past our left for the rebuild to start. They need to part ways with Love, Thompson and Smith for that to happen.

I got no problem with them resigning Love, and the FO's hands were tied with RP holding them hostage with JR and TT. Imagine if they just would have let those guys sit out a year. Could you imagine the headlines?
If you got a once in a generation player you spend every cent possible to maximize your chances of winning. period. You don't worry about the future, you worry about the present.
So the cavs will be sh*tty for a few years, get mediocre, and get sh*tty again just like 95% of all teams in the NBA.

Like many have already said...this is not updated. 76ers might be up there considering the deals they signed this offseason.
