I have never said that to anyone so far in my life (maybe did when I was a baby/toddler but certainly not in my childhood or teenage years or adulthood). I'm extremely socially awkward/introverted to express such an emotion to anyone.

It sucks to not be able to express yourself verbally and to be introverted almost to the max. If I was any more introverted, I would be a monk on vow of silence or something :oldlol:

I say it to my son every time we part. Sometimes 2 or 3 times a day
I also say it to my favorite aunt everytime we get off the phone. She lives in Winnipeg so I don't get to chat with her as much

I don't, it is assumed. Did it a lot when dating though. Never heard my parent say it either, probably a culture thing.

It is mostly a cultural thing. I have never heard anyone from my family say it to another, and I'm talking extended family with many many cousins :lol I just figure times are changing and everyone is getting more and more 'Americanized' and marrying women that grew up here, they expect it now and are taught that something is wrong with us if we don't remind them that every few hours :facepalm
