Would we be making fun of the defenders and calling them car mechanics and groccery baggers? It's completely understandable that they're absolutely frozen and shellshocked at Kobe's insane combination of skill/speed/IQ but to the ignorant eye it looks like they're just a bunch of YMCA players standing around.

If this was Jordan in this highlight instead, would we be saying "look at these mechanics standing around H4H4H4!!" Given the way some of you guys talk about the 90s era I think that would be the case.

Regardless, what an INSANE pass by GOATbe

They lost that game, Kobe went 13/30 against car mechanics and groccery baggers.

That's literally what every singe Lebron highlight pass is, a behind the back pass as he's posting up a smaller defender :lol

So what you're really saying is that Lebron's playmaking ability is just a collection of simple passes? Huh, and here I had him as one of the better passers that have played the game. Boy, was I wrong.

Thanks for the info, manny. I'll go report my findings to reddit to make this hypothesis a scientific theory.

That pass by Kobe reminded me of Kobe around 1996, 1997.

That's a great play regardless of era or player.

'HE' made them look pedestrian. HE created the moves that got them on quick sand.

At times players make moves that make any player look silly, that's why they're great plays made by great players. Only thing a defender could do in that instance is foul him.

1st player tried to go for a steal but Kobe put it behind his back
2nd player reached for the steal and he spun on him
3rd player tried to step in and he went behind his back for the dish

That's a GREAT play err... set of plays.

What made that clip special wasn't the pass itself. It was the series of moves that he made to create that pass.
