How does the NBA prevent tampering?

For example...lets say Kawhi goes to team X. Suddenly, Kawhi's sister is employed with the team and earn $3M a year as 'player's assistant'. His mom is employed as 'consultant' and paid $3M a year. Etc.

or

Duncan and Dirk took paycuts during their playing days. Now they're back with the team and is paid $15M a year as 'consultant' and 'brand ambassador'.

I'm not saying these happens. I'm just asking if a team really wants to do these...Is it preventable?

Everything starts with trust, if it is not written on the contract.

If you are not familiar with the owner/club, would you take a significant paycut (way below market value) just because the owner say so?

It may be fishy but not really tampering for me.

Dirk and Tim had a long time relationship with the owner/coach/club, it is totally different.
