Didn't they already do that with the Supreme Intelligence in Captain Marvel? I say leave all the feminist BS in that storyline.
What's next, Kingpin as a female? Dr.Doom? Beyonder?? :facepalm

Never really followed the Eternals, so I don't really care. What I care about is a good story.

Supreme Intelligence is a super computer that looks like a floating head with tentacles...

Who are the other swaps?
I know Hogarth the lawyer in Jessica Jones is a male in the comics.
I think the villain from ant man was a male in the comics.
The kree thing is just a big brain but the female in the movie was also supposed to be a male kree.
I know who Ajak is.....kinda. But I don’t remember anything about him.
I don’t think there will be a serious reaction until it’s a character people have heard of.
When the Thor news is more well known people will be annoyed but I’m not sure how much since obviously Thor is in the movie as himself as well. Be more like pepper getting her own Iron Man suit.

I'm strangely comfortable with Salma Hayek playing a superhero.

Most comic fans couldn't name Ajak but I'm sure we'll see a few outraged idiots anyway.

Salma Hayek tho. I'm cool w it. Sprinkle some sexism on a feminist moment.
That girl is one of the only straight up attractive celebs. In every way. Seems genuine. Sexy, has an aura of confidence and beauty. Win win for the world.

I just end up taking it at face value, like I have all the MCU movies. So many people I've met always criticize the movies because it wasn't this or that like the comics, and I try to tell them that the movies are separate from the comics. It's like another way of telling the story. Fiege has overall done a great job on his changes to the Marvel entities. Favearu particularly with Iron Man/Tony Stark and his story. This whole time they sneakily made you feel connected to Tony and you really don't understand how important he is to you as a character until his arc reactor light dims and he's not there anymore.
Captain Marvel is kind of their biggest goof right now, but I don't think it's the character, but the person they casted for it is kind of average.
It'll be interesting seeing how some bigger stars like Hayek and Jolie do and what performances they turn in.
