Fair to say, if d' Lakers had traded Bran; Kawhi, best in the world, is a Laker?

If the Lakers had traded Bran, like it was rumored with Rambis pushing Jenie, would Kawhi Leonard, best player in the world, be a Laker today? Is it fair to assume that knowing all that we know?

Where did things go wrong for the Lakers? Why did they hesitate on trading Bran? Why did they lack the foresight?

Why does Jerry West tortures us from afar?

We could of had the Best in the world, in prime... instead... :(

we honestly dont know. Is playing with ad more attractive or the clips better overall roster. Does AD get upset? What do you get in return for lebron matters a lot too. Is it like ben simmons or role players. Ofc i doubt op is considering most of these angles, has rarely shown an ounce of nuance :oldlol:

I think Kawhi still goes to the Clippers if LeBron is traded away, but that could change depending on what the Lakers got in return. Could the Lakers swing a deal to bring in another star player the way the Clippers did? AD can opt out of his contract at the end of next season, and the Lakers don't have much by way of other assets that they can use to make a deal.

The other issue is the way the Lakers were unable to keep details of their meetings with Kawhi confidential. Magic was a blabbermouth, and that had to piss Kawhi off. He would probably worry that further things that he wished to remain private would become public if he signed with the Lakers.
