When will Bran realize that he needs to step back, let others (Davis) be the man, and accept a lesser role since he's a defensive liability while on the floor and can no longer impact the game like he used to?
How long can the Lakers endure him as a false leader when he's already second rate? When will his ego bubble burst?
When will the media stop pampering him and come back to reality? I know money is king, but you gotta start passing the torch, for the good of the game.
When?

One of those three is one of the five greatest basketball players of all time. The other two are Jeremy Lin and Carmelo Anthony. I can't stand LeBron, though. He's become the most obnoxious athlete in all of professional sports these last few years. His narcissism is out of control. That doesn't change the fact that comparing his ego trip to these two scrubs makes zero sense.

IMHO top 5 is not 100%, more like top 10 for sure, probably around 7 or 8.
But... yeah. This. Spot on.

While I don't disagree with some of Smoke's captain obvious observations - like Bran being no Melo or Lin, he's simply not currently a better or more impactful player than Anthony Davis. Bran's a liability on the floor on defense (literally a free lane - or space - to exploit), making someone like Kuzma, who is no elite defender, but young, with fresh legs, even more of a premium to have on the floor (along with his versatile scoring ability) to offset the hole Bran leaves on the perimeter.
Thus it's imperative that Bran allows the big man, Anthony Davis to lead, and be the focal point of the offense - an offense ran through AD, not Bran-ball from the key. Bran, due to age, lack of lift (compared to his prime) and downgraded stamina (for his standards) is simply not capable of carrying a team to where it needs to go - not anymore, not with this type of personal around him that requires feeding a dominant scorer inside, and feeding off it when a defense or double team collapses. Off-ball play and movement is premium here. Spamming P'n'R will only get the Lakers so far.
The sooner his bubble about being "the man" "my team" bursts (with the media acting like he's still top dog - when everyone knows he ain't), the better it'll be for the Lakers, and for his chances to win a 4th ring.... which nimwits like Hey-yo pray everyday he gets. The retards, in plural, obviously don't understand that Bran's way ain't gonna get it done and it's in his legacy's interest, to defer to, AD, as the MAN.
As for Bran's ranking, at most Top 8 (the you could make a case spot), he's Top 15 for me.
Of note, Smoke seems to have left the beer on the fridge when he wrote his post. Acceptable. Welcome to sobriety.

Kobe in his 16th season is supposed to always take on the hardest defensive assignments, especially in the RS? And consider that this was a random scrub on a hot streak that most of the league didn't have any tape to plan for him...he was figured out in a matter of weeks when Mario Chalmers out of all people exposed him :lol .
Kobe usually did guard the opposing ballhandlers because he was a great on-ball defender, guys like Wade and Lebron couldn't get past him without a screen.
