So positions are irrelevant?

Carmelo?

How the flying **** is Carmelo Anthony 2nd team? Easily the most ridiculous part of the entire list.

LMAO.

If you swapped Carmelo with Dirk, honestly, it wouldn't be that bad

Edit: Just noticed they didn't have Duncan either, swap Blake or Aldridge out for him

Even Marc Gasol or Kyle Lowry would have been better.

agree. No way Carmelo should make any list. Scored a lot of points and lost a lot of games in a crappy conference

Yeah Melo being 2nd team is a joke. I

A lot of whack rankings.

Also, small ball and the lack of any true big men talent (until Embiid but he blossomed too late for this list) has ruinied basketball.

To be fair its about the 10s decade, the decade where Kobe declined and retired in the middle of the decade.

Carmelo Anthony probably didn't make it because he hasn't had an all-star worthy season since 2014-15. The last four seasons he's been meh.

Players like Dirk, Kobe, Wade, etc. Would have higher rankings in the 2000s team.

I was gonna say, it's crazy that Kobe made the list with only 4 good seasons this decade. The following 2 seasons he played a combined total of 40 games and the last was his farewell tour, retiring in 2016.

I think it is kind of disrespectful to leave Dame Lillard out of this list, I believe he deserves to be included over guys like Melo and Aldridge...and if Kobe gets a spot for his championship and FMVP the first year of this decade, then surely Dirk deserves a mention..again, over guys like Melo and Aldridge.

It's for the entire decade.

Debates like these are awful because people only think about the last few seasons and not the entire decade.

I think Dwight should've made the list. He was great for the first half of the 2010s. This decade he's had 5 all-star appearances, 5x all-NBA, 2 DPOY, and 3x All-Defense 1st team. That's way more impressive than guys like Melo, LMA, and even Giannis who barely blossomed into a star 2 seasons ago. There's definitely some recency bias here

this is like watching insider information imploding right in front of us, they somehow managed to prove Stephen Curry, with 5 trips to the finals, does not make any of his teammates better

unless we're here to argue Kevin Durant is the GOAT

Kobe is one of the most celebrated athletes of the 2010s though.

Lillard should also be on the list, but not at the expense of Kobe.

The fact that you are trying to justify it with that is hilarious.

He ONLY played 4 good seasons in a 10 year span (of which he was retired for 3 years btw) and STILL made the all decade team.

That is impressive af, flat out.

Giannis
Kawhi
Wade

All made it off 4 GOOD seasons, it's really not that rare bro

Only Giannis is comparable, the other two you're out of your goddamn mind.

Wade had 8 quality seasons this decade. The first he was an MVP candidate, the next 4 he made 4 straight finals appearances and won 2 titles, and the following 3 after that he played 60+ games in each season and led his teams to the playoffs (including the Bulls), omitting 2015 because of Bosh being injured and that mid season trade for Goran...he still averaged 20+ and played like a star.

Kawhi won his FMVP in 2014, and had 4 strong seasons following that...he started his career in 2012 ffs.

Kobe only had 4 seasons where he was still playing like a superstar, he went down with injuries in 2013 and only played 40 games in the following 2 seasons before coming back for his farewell tour in which he played 60 games. You can compare that to Giannis's 4 good seasons, albeit you are comparing growth vs decline...

If it was 1999-2009 Kobe should be 1st.

Kawhi was putting up 16/7 the season after his FMVP win had 2 all-star seasons than missed majority of a season with injury. Than obviously last season

Wade's run post Heatles isn't impressive in the slightest

Like I said, it's not rare for players to be listed off 3-4 seasons

Swept in the 2nd round, as overwhelming favourites, which included Kobe single handedly choking away games 1 and 3 and then getting blown out by 36 in game 4 to send Phil Jackson off in the most ignominious retirement ever.
