doubtful, the NBA is now more free for all, whereas before it's let the agents and front office handle the business aspect of the sport

Depends on where they are . If kyrie has them playoff bound around March he may . If no playoffs no point

If he can play, and it's looking like he can, he will. Say what you will about the dude, but all he cares about is basketball. He won't pull a Porzingis unless he has to.

Imagine they make playoffs, he comes back to help and tears it again. Or maybe he will go Derrick Rose mode a few years, who knows?

I agree with others that if the nets are a top 4 seed he may try to play...

But ultimately he sits out the year I believe

They might be better off not playing him, rezting Irving frequently and taking for a high pick to come back strong in 2020. But I doubt they do that because if he's ready by postseason you can't just throw away a potential trip to the finals.
