I have no geographical tie to any team as I'm from the UK. My first year of secondary school was Kobe's 35ppg season, he was my favourite player and from there I just followed the Lakers

Does the typical Brit even like basketball?

For some weird reason I went from Cavs > Heat > Cavs > Lakers.

Just where my heart took me

Lol god I hate this forum. We don’t have team fans anymore. Just trolls. I remember when the individual team forums on this message board were bumpin.

TBH I never really cared much for basketball until one day I was flipping through channels and stumbled across this gentleman sporting the most luscious, awe-inspiring beard I'd ever seen.

I was hooked.

It was in the early 80s. Fairly easy choice. I was less than 10, already playing organized basketball. LA and Boston in the Finals. It was Magic Johnson.

I remember being a kid, following sports but never really got into basketball ( seen only Euroleague games at that point, I'm from Europe ) and then I saw a Heat - Suns game , around 05. Was shocked of how big Shaq was, and how fast this dude with 3 on his back moved on the floor.

So glad I got to see my favorite player play live this year, the last chance I had. And on top of that, his last game winner

Celtics vs Cavs 08 was the first playoff series I watched. I was cheering for Boston just cuz green was my favorite color, dumb reason I know but I was 10 and never properly watched a game before :oldlol: But in time I started to realize I actually liked the team and how they played, and I really liked Rondo. Been a fan ever since then.

same

Big time Kobrick stain, like many others, started watching Lakers hoops in 99, stopped in between 04-07, heated back up for a quick 2 years after.

Haven't watch a full NBA game since, but vividly for the past 10 years get Cavs/Heat boxscore notifications chirped to my gameboy

ps. I actually hate bball
