Derek Brunson on the card as well. He's extremely exciting to watch. I hope he makes a comeback.
Romero vs Costa is a great matchup
I hate Diaz. Love to see Pettis put him out. Don't think he will but it would be awesome to see
Every fight has potential to end early. All FOY candidates. This is a solid card! Don't know if I want to work it or just sit behind the bar. But for sure can't miss!!

UFC Fights always bring the WORST crowds at bars, especially during the earlier Iceman/Tito days. The affliction shirts, bar stool coaches teaching everyone at the rail striking techniques, the one time jiu-jitsu class giving etiquette on ground game. :oldlol:
It was like all the kids that never were good at regular high school sports finally found a new one to align themselves with, and they immediately turned a small sports community to shit.
I would just work it bro, fight nights bring out the sausage crews

A went to a UFC event and this is true. A big portion of the fanbase is irritating and moronic.

Times have changed and the Affliction crowd has dissolved. I get a pretty normal crowd. No different from an NBA finals game.
I'll probably work since I'll be at the bar anyways. Good thing about UFC is you're gauranteed a full bar for at least 3 hours. I could make $300 that nigh easy

Costa vs Romero is very interesting. This could very well put Costa as #1 contender as he's been steamrolling this division. What a great matchup. Both looking to end the fight with a KO. This will probably be FOTN.
Every fight has early Rd potential. This is a well put together card

Going for the head was difficult because Cormier is sneaky elusive, but that body was wide open.
Brutal body shots.

I f*ckin put down a parlay on Pettis and Cormier. Was rooting for the opposite in each, but went with the favorites this time.
Wrong on both counts, but I'm glad it worked out like it did. Had Pettis won, I would have been hoping for my payout. Instead, I got to rip up my ticket and root for Stipe like I wanted to begin with.
Absolutely brilliant performance. As soon as he landed the second hook to the body I knew Stipe was gonna knock him out. Started yelling in the middle of Parx :lol
Also I loved Diaz's callout. "I know he's a gangster but he ain't no west coast gangster" :oldlol: that is a fight I think everyone would love to see. I don't know if I could bet against Nate again.

Is Nate Diaz that good? Guys like Joe Rogan seem to be talking about him like he's so great even before this fight but his record is not that good. 20 - 11 is quite mediocre compared to how he's talked about.
Cormier - Miocic III
Diaz - Masvidal

Diaz is a fan favorite, but he's certainly not great.
Good, not great.
Usually has a height and reach advantage due to how skinny he is.
Purposely doesn't do much with weights because he'd get murdered at higher weight classes.

I would agree with you, but thats whats he's always been.
in fact he started at light weight in his 20s, and moved up to welter later. takes fights on 2 weeks notice.
Nate Diaz is absolutely a great fighter. Best chin, endurance, and martial arts skills with the subs, greco, and takedown.
Ruthless swag as well.
The fact that he always beats these guys who are more heavily muscled than him shouldnt be a slight... it's weight class, not height class.

Go watch his career highlights and see how many fights of his were voted fight of the night.
A lot of fighters play it safe and try to win on decision. Nate fights to win.
GSP is probably the best counter example i can give, he's 26-2 but played like harden.
I'd much rather watch Nate, and he's beat MVP talents.

Is that true though about fight to win not on decision? Seems the majority of his recent fights ended in decision.
