Draz: he helps the underprivileged youth in NY. i see his snapchats daily of how he helps these at risk youth take a hard right turn into a good life. this is very underappreciated in our society. these kids have a one way ticket to drug abuse, felony crimes, dead beat fathers/mothers, etc. draz is out here helping them make GOOD life decisions. :cheers:

Hawker: one of the more unbiased posters on this website. probably why i enjoy talking to him, i'm 100% sure in real life we would be hanging out on the weekends. he's also non-discriminatory towards chicks that lean on the thiccer side, we'd be slaying them thicc chics.

j$: he's gone full on muslim but when i first started posting here, he was honestly one of the most helpful posters around. i will never forget the young j$ i grew to admire. he'll always be that j$ to me, one of the more interesting people i can say i had the pleasure of meeting on a forum. ash, if you're reading this, i apologize for the anti muslim comments. i will admit i have not researched your religion so i may have believed slander, still, i think we both seek to worship the same god (the one and only Yaweh). btw, i remember u linking me a particular music video...you got that link still? if i recall correctly, the video starts with a girl and she has a broken down car. link it, i won't say why it's interesting, that will stay between us.

prometheus: interesting character. i think he's had a lot of life experiences that shaped him who he is. we disagree a lot but i appreciate his tender love for his cat. i can relate on a deep level to that. cat people are good people.

macmac: he's the playboy we all lowkey wish we could be. hustler, self made, funny as hell too.

at the end of the day, we're just randoms posting on a basketball forum, but the posters i mentioned above has made a lasting impression for me.

Highwhey--always down to earth, real, honest, humble, hardworking and fun enjoying the pleasurable things in life like women and tacos. actually--out of all the ish moments perhaps the one that touched my heart was when he talked about how his cat Tigger passed away. that was very touching.

Yeah I was geeked when I realized that DonDadda was back. The most clever/slick/sly poster in the site's history this side of B-Low and JayGuevara

Don is def one of my favorites, the running Anakin/Obi Wan gag in the tranny thread was the best part of a throwback ISH classic thread.

Also, I gotta also mention the fact that pre Islam radical J$ was the most brilliant, gifted poster here. I'm sure it's still there but the subject matter is obv more narrow these days.

stalker is a p.o.s. in many ways (who films dumping a jug of piss on oneself, then posts it online, even here?). Still, the guy is forum gold and I'ma always root for him, unless he cons another poster outta money. stalker, in fact, did keep this site with the old school feel of absrdity when the annoying politics shit was every thread.

macmac- like already mentioned, just a cool cat. Clever af, seems well-rounded, can hustle

rufus- a classy individual- on the surface a geeky dad but one you envision getting WAY too pumped to visit his daughter at college football games so he can get jello shots and perv on as many sorority hotties as poss. Probably would do the Lester Burnham workout routine before he hits the road.

hawker- dude is well-rounded af, sneaky funny and is a good critical thinker. It's crazy how nerdy and shit he was as a high school teen but now, I got mad respect for him and glad he's stuck around all these years

bigsmoke- all this man cares about is CHI-town, hip-hop, cliche tattoos and food. Gotta love him, . Great teddy bear of a smile too

Thorp- Maybe the only other poster that is on my level at reviewing film

kblaze has a very interesting story and worldview and his diatribes are similar to Thorp's in word count and substance

I wouldn't have doubted it. People are inherently negative. It's just much easier to criticize than to compliment. I believe it's our lack of accountability that makes us this way. Judging others takes away negative judgement on one's self.

No it’s just when people try to go overboard and get recognition and compliments for shit that’s an everyday normal occurrence that it’s a problem. We got people posting shit on social media like:

“just had the cobb salad at Applebee’s after an exhilarating 2 hr walk!” and then it’s followed up with 20 likes.

Sorry, but how am I supposed to be impressed by this if I just ran 5 miles and ate something more nutritious than that shit and it didn’t even cross my mind that something like that would be worth sharing. It’s stupid.

For the NBA forum:

SouBeach and RRR3 gets a decent laugh from me with some posts and our opinions coincide a lot.

Young X knows the game well with some smart unpopular opinions that you have to consider and gotta give him props for being the biggest cp3 proponent on the board.

DMAVS is pretty intelligent and really good staying consistent, just not easy to end a conversation with him.

Kuniva, Phoenix, and Lost Cause are pretty good with their analysis even if we disagree more. Best of the jordan guys on the board imo.

haha, wellshit. I figured some/maybemost people probably do, was kind of a purposeful exaggeration. The joke for me is "I don't read" cuz everyone is always asking me about books n shite, and it's not untrue. I read everything I see but it's really easy to notice a pattern and pick thru something (for me), and if you're reading for pleasure, like a short story or a novel or a poem, and it starts of the wrong way it's like nah. I envy dudes who can finish shit they started like THE WASTELAND.

Like that dude awhile back who posted some shit and was like "lol if you read all of this" at the end, I started reading that post and after the reading the first couple sentences, I skimmed, then I was like this dude is just posting stupid shit on purpose, and I was right, after alil scroll.

Or like Naero, dude whose posts look like they were sent thru google translate and he clicked the 'affluent english' box, you start reading it and it's like aiye. I'm not saying I haven't ever read a kblaze post, but a lot of them like about bball players I skim for interesting/new stuff. ISH is the wild wild west of basketball forums, and I understand the fun of it is the flagrant non pc convos we have on here, but it's still nice to have some kind of underlying respect for each other while still being flagrant asf.

Shout out to my boy J$ even though he never shouts me out :oldlol: imo probably the poster I respect the most out of anyone on here, for many reasons but the main one being how committed he is to put a positive image out there for our people. No matter the insults and verbal abuse some people give him, he still shows up with respect and positivity and that requires an immense amount of patience to do (something that is huge in our culture).

Shout out to Pac as well, even though he's probably the opposite of my first paragraph :lol Super biased, but that only comes with the ongoing battle he has with the LeBron stans of the main forum.

Big big big shout out to the entire Lakers fam who has been here even when Nick Young was the biggest name on our team lol, those were dark times but we still stuck it out and now we got a ****ing squad to look forward to this upcoming season.

That isn't the impression I've gotten, and I've never seen him lash out or insult people. Even if he were to do that after getting his buttons pushed, that wouldn't make him a bad person.
I may not share his views or beliefs but he's one of the classiest people on here.

I'm not actually studying Islam but I've seen the way some Muslims get treated by a bigots all the time and I'll never stop reviling those who do so. This. As a Catholic I have learned to separate faith from dogma. Just because some old men in the hierarchy of the Church say this is how it's supposed to be doesn't make it so. People are much better off going with the basic tenets of their faith and forgetting the man-made crap that has been handed down.

For me it boils down to this:

I believe in Jesus Christ who taught us to love your neighbor, help the less fortunate and seek forgiveness of your sins as well as those who have sinned against you.

We are just however many millions of light years away to be able to even see what would be happening that far in real time.
