Has Fast and Furious ruined reviews of other good movies?

I am on my 3rd watch here and the Hateful 8 is such a damn masterpiece.

Yet for such a good movie it scores fairly “low” on imdb. My only explanation is that all these Fast and Furious flying cars with terminator drivers in them have ruined how dimwitted people review movies.

I am willing to bet that it The Departed or Goodfellas came out today they would probably score an 8 tops because of “too much story, slow pace and not enough action”

all i know is when i began watching these films, they were still street racers robbing truckloads in the outskirts of LA.

they have evolved to saving the world from bigger threats. jumping off building, off airplanes, driving tanks, robbing corrupt police, etc. quite the evolution.

think you mostly got it. imdb reviews (correct me if im wrong) are user based. meaning theyre only rated as high (or low) as an "at home internet reviewer" is willing to rate it. and who are these "at home reviewers?" good chance its someone you could care less about their opinion/die hard fan of a series/someone youd wouldn't want to hold a conversation with.

He either thinks that the movie Hateful 8 and Fast n Furious F8 The Fate of the Furious are the same movie, or is trying to draw some parallel between the ratings of the 2 movies and how one can impact the other which just wouldn’t happen.

I actually avoided Hateful 8 for a while because I heard it wasn't as good as other Tarantino films, was surprised at how good of a movie it was once I finally watched it. I wouldn't watch any of the fast and furious movies, those movies suck balls.

Usually anything over a 6.5 on there is good. 8 is very good.

Every movie or show on that site is completely lopsided.

If the audience loves it and has it at 80%, "critics" will be at 40%. And when it's an agenda based pile of shit it will be the opposite. You see some of there thumbnail pics with there stupid vegan heads and thick tryhard glasses:oldlol:

A lot depends on what genres you like watching

I like sci-fi, so even though a movie like Oblivion (2013) was really low on rotten tomatoes, I loved watching it
