View Full Version : Would LeBron be GOAT if...

...he three-peats or goes back-to-back with Anthony Davis on these Lakers?

That would be tough for Jordan to match wouldn't it?

Jordan has him beat on scoring titles, if that were the case.

LeBron can't really become the GOAT. He'd have to start his career all over and do everything differently. He can possibly get into the 2-4 tier maybe, but even that is going to be very tough as he's going to have to reinvent himself to do that and be a totally different LeBron.

GOAT is not about rings and it is not about stats. It's about the stuff LeBron has lacked his whole career.

If he wins the next 2 he's automatic GOAT

He's already arguable GOAT winning 2 more would be overkill

If..... if....... if....

It's always been 'if' with LeBron and instead all he's given you is 6 finals losses.

Get over it dude, just accept reality and move the **** on with your life.

His 2016 ring is worth like 4 rings combined

Lebron won't ever be GOAT because he is not quite as good as MJ.

Remember, "winning" more doesn't make you GOAT, it's level of play that makes you GOAT.

LeBron in the 2016 & 2017 playoffs is as good or better than any MJ year so your wrong

the guy who leads all the best playoff scorers in history by 5 ppg, with the best efficiency rating ever (PER), and the most winning of the modern era/3-pointer basketball is the GOAT

how does anyone match that level of winning and domination?.. only mj combined goat level winning and goat level domination/stats

LeBron would have to contact Tony Stark and Bruce Banner with Pym Particles to rewind time to the 2011 finals in order to rewrite history to be the greatest of all time. And that shit ain

How would that be tough for Jordan to match? He would literally match or have 1 more then Lebron.

yeah, that may have been a shortsighted observation. I was focused in on length of dominance specifically as well as the matching titles. bad hypothesis haha

LeBron already surpassed MJ in stats. This would just widen the gap

Lebron as a top 3-4 player of all time will of course have years as good as MJ...but you don't "single" out years.

You look at their whole careers...and MJ in his prime was the best player in every single playoff series he played and dominated, even when he was old. Lebron has had series in his prime where he wasn't the best player (2011 most egregious).

MJ's best 10 years are better than Lebron's best 10 years.

Hell Manny, you were literally born the same year as MJ's last season as a Bull. Since you are a big fan of stats, you should realize that MJ's stats are better than Lebron's stats and they both played in modern eras.

Lebron's highs have matched some of MJ's highs...but Lebron has far more "lows" in the playoffs than MJ.

Mmmm irrelevant before his multiple superteam collusions so nah he's borderline top 10 no matter what happens.

We are using all factors...MJ is GOAT.

Not sure why that makes you so upset that you create like 10 ALTs.

MJ has nothing to do with watching and enjoying Lebron play basketball :confusedshrug:

This is my only account fvckface. Not sure what MJ was best at? Ring count? No stats? No

would I suggest LeBron to take a pay cut on his 4th year player option?

pending salary cap raise, it at the very most can only be 15% if the renegotiated 3rd year is heavy loaded

it's not my job to ignite other players passion for a championship, and nothing wrong for preferring broken down playoff victories with a franchise tag

If we could erase all the collusions and losses from history like he did when confiscating the tapes where he gets dunked on - maybe.

But it's not that easy :(

Depends on how he wins it. I mean, Chauncey Billups won one too but no one equates him with Dirk.
