Assuming the Lakers are healthy this year and make the playoffs.

They will both be extremely motivated after the seasons they had last year, should be fun.

big assumption. Lebron is a year older and coming off of his first significant injury. That is what usually does in old guys. A.D. has never stayed healthy nor shown he can carry a team anywhere. At least they have Cousins! :lol

I don't see the Lakers being as dominant with AD at center, now that boogie is hurt

I don't think he's up for the task of being a guy that the offense runs through, ala Jokic or Hakeem.. If he is, he's guaranteed the 2020 MVP and FMVP.. It's funny because mj's gonna win again on this one - the Lakers can only win if AD is the best player on the team.......... .. lebron's a c.unt and deserves this

It's kind of like if a Shaq-lite joined 35 year old MJ and they played together (saying nothing about the rest of the roster).

It's interesting to see what happens.

No excuses.

Jokic's second option is Jamal Murray.

Chefs second option is draymond green.

D-Mitchell's second option is Joe ingles.

Hardens second option is retarded.

Bran has an MVP.

No.

Kawhi's 2nd option was Kyle fcukin Lowry.

rudy gobert is an odd case...

his ORTG DRTG playoff splits are superstar level but hes a 13 ppg scorer.

It's like 2011 Tyson Chandler who put up 137 105 (unbelievable) over 700 playoff minutes.

He's an incredible piece, but AD is a 30 ppg efficient all around player.

Nobody in the league has a second option that good.

34-year old MJ won MVP over prime Shaq
34-year Lebron wasn't a contender for MVP

34-year MJ was 24-11 without Pippen and the East 1 seed/championship contender
34-year Lebron was 28-27 and lottery pre-AD

So 34-year MJ was a contender without Pip, while Lebron was too old to contend without AD

Ultimately, 34-year Lebron is nowhere near 34-year MJ, who won all the MVP's and won the title as scoring champ.. Lebron can't even be scoring champ, let alone with the title as one.. :facepalm nor is there anyone of Shaq's caliber to win MVP over..

Everyone is looking at this incorrectly.

AD's sidekick is an all-time great. It still applies, no one has ever had this good of a sidekick before.

LBJ will become the GOAT Robin. No excuses for AD. If he can't win with this team, he is an empty stats monster.

Gobert is the 4th option who put up over 17 a game when they finally put floor spacers around him in Hill and Joe Johnson. Set a record for dunks last year with Bricky and Favors around him. Can only guess what he will do with Conley and Bojan.

:lol :lol :lol

Who said that? Gobert is their best player and has been since December of 2014. It's possible that will change at some point. They have 3 20 point scorers that can all shoot and score from 3 levels. One of them is going to score or Rudy is going to get a dunk or someone will get an open 3. Good luck stopping them!

Then welcome to the first year of Miami. 2nd year, LeBron will have to Wade this team and realize who the key in the pick-and-roll really is.

Orrrrrr he could play in the post like he should at this point.

Lebron hasn't won a regular season MVP since he was 29, and hasn't won a Finals MVP since he was 31.

So he's nowhere near MJ, who was winning MVP's and FMVP's in his late 20's thru mid-30's

There isn't any additional context to add

Lebron hasn't been MVP in a while because other guys are performing better

Whereas MJ was scoring champ every year through 35 years old

Btw, all of this will be moot by December - you guys will all see that AD is the best player on the Lakers and likely 2020 MVP
