There is a lot more basketball time on the players of today, than what there was. That's throughout their entire life. Kids pick up a ball earlier, start impacting their body earlier with the stress sports put on them. It's no surprise.

Wow, that's insane. Is it maybe guys training harder than other eras? And by that I don't mean out work but use techniques that push the body further than it should be?

Yeah the video explains all of the above, NBA doesn't rly care though because they want high potential over immediate impact.

bigs actually have mobility, handles and range now - not just used as one direction traffic cones that camp in the paint


plus far more physicality in todays league, greater speed with size = harder collisions


same as NFL
