I agree that OP shouldn't have been banned though, you can't ban someone for not having an uninformed opinion. Firing someone is even worse, that shit needs to have a law in place that prevents it from happening already.

Egypt and South Africa I could see the argument for but Nigeria??? Since when are they a powerful country?They have the largest economy on the continent and a huge population, also involved in a lot of trade agreements in West Africa. They do have a lot of issues you would tend to expect though like poverty, corruption, dependence on one resource(oil).

Rwanda has seen a huge turn around compared to where they were 25 years ago. Ethiopia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Tanzania are some of the other fastest growing economies. Still a lot of work to be done, but there is progress. Stomping out corruption in many of these countries continues to be the biggest hurdle to development
Nigeria is also looking very promising.
P.S Kenya had the nicest people I've ever met. I'd recommend the OP visit Kenya. Perhaps he could take his wife and kids?
