Interesting point fonz, although the last time I saw James Harden in the playoffs he was doing this to some of the best defenders in the game.

In terms of team success, Harden is the 4th most successful superstar of this era after Lebron, KD, and Curry and he's had worse supporting casts than all of them when they won titles. Harden led teams to two WCF's and if his teammates had an average shooting night in Game 7, he would likely be a champion. Margins are thin sometimes.

Calling Harden a loser is stupid. Maybe you don't like his game but his greatness is evident. Obviously he's well below the 3 guys I mentioned but let's not pretend like he's not a top 50 all time player. He is...

Good post tbh. Harden gets A LOT of hate but he is a straight up baller. Houston was irrelevant before him and he single handedly dragged them to the playoffs ever since he's been there.

Incredibly skilled player who doesn't get his due or respect.

King James

Lebron merely adopted flopping and travelling. Haren was born in it, molded by it.

Harden is a good example of regular season performance and playoff performance.

He can get whatever he wants in regular season, but in the playoff, opposing teams play real defense.

Nothing about him winning ring(s) or not, just saying his stats... loose defense and tight defense make a difference.

Why are you using his averages on OKC when he was coming off the bench and 3rd option against him? What are his a averages on Houston in the playoffs?

OP learn the correct way to display stats you moron.

It's points, rebounds, then assists.

Harden is averaging 29/5/8 as a starter.

The Rockets wouldn't even have been in position to win a game 7 if not for Chris Paul. He was the one making all the big shots and plays down the stretch while Harden was trying his best to shoot them out of wins 2 and 3.

32/6/6 over 13 seasons... That's what's up..

Only player to average 30/5/5 for career in RS... or PO... or Finals

It was a fastbreak, yet still showed more paint defenders than harden's open paint in the half-court, but anyways

False. I am using his career stats in the playoffs.
:kobe:
And for the record, Harden played only three seasons with the OKC Thunder, while he played 7 years with the Houston Rockets. More than twice the years to stabilize his numbers, which still stink.

Moreover, this is a fair comparison because every other player had to go through their own unique set of circumstances.

Jordan being a first round victim for years until Pippen showed up in 1988.
Jerry West not being the first option for the first five years of his career.
Kobe Bryant being a benchwarmer his first three playoffs.
LeBron James not making the playoffs his first two seasons.

Etc, etc.

Depends on how you count it.

If it's one per entire postseason run, he averages one a year.

If they get their own rythm together and pass more and create, will be fun to watch.

32.2% 3P%

Throughout 7 seasons with Houston in the playoffs. For most of the games of the post seasons he's played, he's came up small for someone of his ability during the regular season. Disappointing.

He has had amazing success with little success at the same time. He is a bigger Curry without the success because he holds the ball too long and isn't skilled enough to hold the ball for long. Most players cannot hold the ball for a long time and expect superb results and King James Harden is one of them who cannot
