View Full Version : Why does posting explicit pictures get you banned?

I was thinking back to how several posters went out with a bang. Put up porn pics so that they would be permanently banned. And it got me thinking....why exactly is that against the rules? Is it that there isn't a disclaimer requiring that you be 18 when you access this forum?
That has to be it, right?

It doesnt unless its trolling. Posters have posted porn here before, as long as it brings a topic of discussion then it will be allowed.

I was wondering about this but I'm not so sure that's true. The topics over the past few weeks about Latina's having the best asses, or the ass vs breasts discussions etc didn't feature any graphic pictures, which is what I would have expected from some of the posters on this forum if that was allowed. But maybe I'm wrong.

I remember highwey making a thread posting some porno gifs asking about the positions. Never got banned, as long as it's genuine conversation it seems to be allowed.

It gets you banned because anything can get you banned. You have no free speech here. If the Admin or moderators feels it's ban-able, then it is.

Pretty much. I was banned for 2 weeks about a month ago for telling a poster to kill himself or something. ( I don't even remember as it wasn't that memorable lol) On the other hand, I've literally made the most racist thread ever in the past and nothing happened. This board is joke. :oldlol:

This statement is half true.
No free speech here? Are you kidding? You can get away with posting more vile shit here than pretty much anywhere on the internet besides 4chan.
But as for the admin or moderators feeling like it's bannable... yeah pretty much. There are no rules... until there are rules... depending on how someone's feeling.

Jeff knows how much people post from work so he tries to keep it safe for work....even if getting caught would be your fault....its still probably for the best. Personally I wouldnt care about anything in a topic that said it was NSFW.

There are guidelines but no hard and set rules. The site owner can ban anyone he/she pleases for any non-discriminatory reasons.

He can ban for discriminatory reasons too if he wanted to. What would anyone do about it?
Has that case been brought and heard out yet?

For example, I think legally site owners can't blatantly state he banned someone because the guy is black if sued. He has to make up any other reason.

I....am not sure about that. I know at one point there was no law against it online but if have to check now.

https://www.wired.com/story/free-speech-facebook-supreme-court/
While the court’s decision may set certain parameters for governments looking to restrict people’s online access, it has no bearing on what companies like Facebook and Twitter can do. As private companies, they are already free to ban anyone who violates their terms of service, whether by posting sexually explicit content or engaging in terrorist activity. They could also, in theory, ban certain classes of felons from using the platform without fear of being sued for discrimination. Discrimination law in the US only prevents businesses from discriminating on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, and national origin.
That means the very platforms which the Supreme Court has said play a critical role in our First Amendment rights still have full authority to censor any person or class of people they want to.
In other words, no, Jeff can't ban people for being white or black or whatever. I mean... he could... but he couldn't openly state as such... and if enough people in theory were banned that all shared the same characteristic and it could be proven in a court of law that characteristic is why they were being banned, he would be in trouble and have to unban them.
However, nobody gives that much of a **** about InsideHoops except maybe one guy that posts here because no where else on the internet will tolerate him having 50 accounts and would have banned him long ago. Hell, even 4chan identifies each poster with a unique ID. Only on ISH can someone get away with that many accounts. Unreal, really.
We have at least 2 individuals that are regularly posting with 5+ accounts. No bullshit.
But I digress...
Jeff could decide right now to ban everyone that he knows is black and nobody could do anything about it. Nobody would even try. Not as long as he kept his mouth shut.

Because .com is an American domain and we've been nurtured in this country thinking tits, nudity and sex are explicit
Great scat and incest porn though!
