depends how you look at it
MJ had completely mastered about 9 or 10 moves to a Kareem sky-hook level (btw, 9 or 10 moves is kind of a lot.. that's a good repertoire by itself)
Kobe might've had more moves, but he hadn't mastered them like MJ, or his athleticism didn't allow him to execute them as effectively as MJ
I go with MJ - my sentiments are summed up perfectly by a quote in Trail Blazers and Seahawks owner Paul Allen’s memoir, Idea Man:
"Midway through the fourth quarter of a tight game four in Portland, Clyde tapped the ball away from Jordan and converted it into a dunk, setting off a surge that evened the series at two games apiece. Nearly giddy, I went into the locker room afterward and found Clyde slumped in front of his locker, completely exhausted, an ice bag on every joint. And I said, “Clyde, that was a brilliant steal. You read Jordan perfectly.”
He looked up at me, shook his head, and said, “Stop, stop, you don’t understand. Most guys have two or three go-to moves; Jordan has nine. I guessed right, that’s all. I got lucky. Sometimes you get the bear, but usually the bear gets you.” Clyde knew the score. The Bulls, on the cusp of a dynasty, beat us in six games.”

So I go with Jordan.

Kobe, easily.
Kobe by far. Just a much better player overall. Imagine prime Kobe in Jordan’s weakass era :oldlol: dude would have averaged 45 PPG

If we had the point-per-possession stats for MJ and Kobe's post play, I bet everything I've ever had that you'd change your mind
It wouldn't be remotely close

The fact that you don't even realize I said what I said just to trigger you goes to show how obsessively deranged you are about MJ. You are so lost in your obsession you can't even see I'm trolling you.

okay.. but hard to tell it's a troll because a lot of people don't realize how great mj's post game was.
phil jackson said he had the best post game of any guard, and it's not a contest

MJ...Kobe was a better far range shooter though.

Kobe obviously wasn’t as efficient but he was able to make and get shots off that had a greater degree of difficulty. Edge: Kobe
Theyre pretty close but this is probably the worst argument ever for Kobe. I hear Kobe Stan's say this all the time. Problem with this theory is that Kobe only took harder shots because he didn't have mj's athleticism and off ball movement. Giving Kobe props for having to take tough shots because he wasnt as good as mj is foolish.

Jordan won his last 3 rings off postplay so why is this even a question?

Not really. He was taking turn arounds in the 10-15 foot range. That's not the post.

Kobe is a direct copy of Jordan, so umm ...
There differences as players come elsewhere.
Both had amazing footwork in the post, and in general but Kobe
