Not speaking on OP directly, but this is so true when it comes to Trump haters. They are SO OBSESSIVE when it comes to talking about him, it's so god damn annoying. CNN/NBC, any political channel has become absolutely unwatchable because they ONLY speak bad about Trump...over and over again ever since he became president.

A little objectivity would go a long way. This coming from a guy who 100% dislikes Trump.

So far he is the best President of this young century by a very wide margin. Even though I voted for him(actually I vote against Hillary) I never expected him to be as good as he has been. Of course when you compare him to one of the worst Presidents in history in Obama and another really bad one in Bush it does make him look better than he really is.

I enjoy his antics, they're funny.

I also think that he's done an acceptable job militarily only because the standards set by his predecessors are so low. He hasn't entered us into any new wars unlike the rest.

However, I loathe his monetary policy and he has done an absolute dog shit job at even attempting to fix our monetary policy and budget problems.

So... I don't think he's doing a good job overall. He's doing sub par. But all the presidents in 'my lifetime' have been sub par so I don't know... I'm not happy with him overall.

What people are you talking to about this and in what capacity for your opinion to be stronger than mine? I worked customer service (cashier at my family business, among other things...always ALWAYS communicating with customers everyday) and although I would try to steer clear from talking politics, people couldn't help but bring up Trump whether it was positive or negative. Both were extreme in their views, the people who were for Trump were worse tbh.

I don't work there anymore, but I still spend my Saturday afternoons at the family business just to help out and for sheer enjoyment of being apart of something that is ours. And funny that you tell me to talk that talk, just 2 weekends ago (like the 17thish of August, not looking at a calendar) I had a guy come in talking about this new fridge he bought and was raving about how it is a whirlpool and American made. So proud of that, he proceeds to tell me how to stay away from Samsung and some other brand because they are not made in the states. I notice he drove a Ford truck to the shop, so I go on to say "Isn't it ironic though? Everyone wants American made, yet you got these big proud American companies like Ford making their trucks in Mexico instead of making it here".


Wrong thing to say to this late aged white male, I'd say he was in his mid 50's. I had a Mexican girl in the shop as well picking out some products (20's, minding her own business) and another Mexican family, neither were really paying attention to my convo with this man. He proceeds to scowl at my comment and looks around before saying the following:

"...you know, that won't be as much of a problem once we build this wall, then the American companies will have to keep making their products here. And we will take care of this immigration problem. Look, I have nothing against the people...but we just don't have space for these immigrants! There is no livable space and they are taking all of our jobs, we will be better off without these Mexicans coming in and taking it all, we have to look out for ourselves".

He kept on going and kept saying wilder and wilder shit, and while I was just trying to brush him off by saying "yea...idk mannn" he kept going. I had to COMPLETELY ignore him for him to finally stop. Mind you, the entire time he was talking about his fridge he was stuttering and stumbling over his words...but once he started talking about these Mexicans, dude started speaking without a stutter and just going ham. Once he left, the Mexican girl was ready to check out and had caught the end of the guys rant on Mexico, poor girl couldn't do much more than smile because she's probably heard this type of rant 100's of times since Donny came into office. It wasn't this big of a topic of conversation before then.


You see, his argument was based off of his own assumption on what would happen once this "wall" is built. I know you are aware that the wall has NOTHING to do with companies building plants in Mexico, rather it has everything to do with the image of separating us from our neighbors. But this guy is obviously someone who is just watching the news and forming his own opinions based off of what the media AND TRUMP are saying rather than actually looking into what in actuality is happening...because lord knows he is the one starting all of this, you're lying to yourself if you solely blame this on the media.


His argument in itself was idiotic about the Mexican people, too. There is no space? Do people not realize just how ****ing big this country is? There is PLENTY of space. 39% of the US population lives in counties DIRECTLY on the coastline (source at the bottom), and people think there is no space? We have pleeeeeeenty of room for people to live. PLENTY. And the whole "taking our jobs" argument is something only truly uneducated people argue. Mexicans, for the most part in this country work in the food industry, whether that is in the kitchen cooking up your food or in the fields picking your strawberries and corn, among other fruits and veggies. Being in the food industry since a young child, if anyone can speak on these facts I can. I work in corporate America right now and I have yet to see 1 Mexican working in IT; not to say they don't exist, but to the point where poeple are complaining about their jobs being taken away? Give me a ****ing break..

The second America tries to get rid of these hard working people who literally feed us is the second your food prices start to sky rocket due to farmers being forced to pay people more to come work on farms and restaurant owners being forced to pay their cooks more....the citizens of this country DONT WANT to be in the hot sun picking produce or to be in the back of a kitchen being yelled at by a chef to prepare this and that, and the only way to entice them to want to do these jobs is to pay them more.

You ever think that maybe people that live in the middle don't want their land overpopulated and like the space? Should that not be a consideration or do they just get told to suck it up? Countries that are less populated are generally more pleasant countries to live in.

And are you saying you're ok with paying people below minimum wage? I thought that was inhumane? There are multiple countries out there that don't have tons of illegal immigrants but seem to work their farms just fine.
