View Full Version : Will we ever see 6/6 with 6 FMVP and no game 7 allowed?

Sadly we won't as the supposed "GOAT" of today's era consists of only being able to muster up a 3/9 finals record and losing FMVP to role players on the other team.

Oh well. Keep crying about it wondering what it "might have been like".

Or better yet, try to deflect to help you cope with the truth. :lol

Wait... he left the game, got all rusty, came back, and STILL somehow managed to work his way back into basketball shape and win 3 more in a row?

That's even more impressive. Thank you for pointing this fact out to make him look even better than you initially thought he was. :applause:

I honestly don't think it will be possible to do that again.

Frankly because of how the NBA works nowadays and the fact that the NBA 95-99 was EXTREMELY WEAK.

The 96-98 Bulls would absolutely not 3 peat in this era or the 80s.

However, that isn't a knock on MJ, just the team overall.

We will eventually see a player undeniably better than MJ. And you’ll be seething.

K. It’s already been close to happening. Imagine if LeBron had a consistent jumper his whole career...easily GOAT. Imagine if Shaq was good at FTs...consensus GOAT. Imagine if Curry was an elite defender...etc etc

Maybe.

OP you are one of my favorite posters in off the court.

Unfortunately, you are exceedingly stale on the NBA board. Coming from someone who has MJ > Kobe > bran. Not about agenda. These posts are just objectively lame.

Yes, he couldn't hack it anymore. He was mentally and physically exhausted.

He stands alone at the top of NBA's Mount Rushmore of players who have 6 rings but needed a 2 year rest in between to achieve them.

No because game 7 stats are cool.

If you have great game 7 stats, you're the bestest.

Players will lose on purpose to make sure to get those game seven averages on fleek.

.....with a top 50 player, on a Tuesday, wearing black socks and shoes with a jumping man, with a bald head, while gambling, while having more talent than most teams he faced......

straight outta espn with that one.

Good thing the plaayoffs aren't just 1 round and the first 3 rounds aka 75% of the playoffs over the course of MJs career was the hardest compared to anyone else's career

In this thread, you see a lot of folks trying to cope with Jordan being consensus GOAT. They're really torn up about this and close their eyes and cover their ears and tell themselves over and over again things to help ease the pain and allow them to live in alternate realities. "But he retired in his prime", "But his Finals comp SRS was lower than someone who won half as much", "But his teams were talented"

None of that means anything in reality. Just irrelevant reaches being made equivalent to tossing sunflower seeds at the throne

That "Who's the GOAT" thread RR3 posted where Jordan got like 90% of the vote? That's just a reflection of reality. Sorry kids

Sadly, a lot of the Jordan stans (3ball) don't seem to understand this, and remain shockingly insecure about Jordan's standing

3ball HAS to be Jeff. People are screaming at this guy "Jordan's the GOAT" and he'll be like but Jordan's the GOAT because..

1. No one cares about that stupid poll with a bunch of LeBron hating alts running amock

2. Consensus means pretty much EVERYONE agrees on the same thing which is not true as a lot of people have LeBron,Kareem or Russell as the GOAT so stop with this "consensus GOAT" nonsense

The competition in the 90's was just too fierce. In the 2000's players are losing to Dwight Howard with HCA in there MVP year.:oldlol:
