And for you clowns taking shots at Trump, having all your major news networks lean one way is a huge problem in this country.

You think the pressure is bad now, wait till you see the explicit material that starts to pour in around election to seal the coffin. Trumps got some real petty enemies out there that have been strategically withholding info to leak at the right time

Think when wikileaks slowly drip fed that classified 100+ list of MLB pro's who popped positive in 03. Snowden scandal is going to be peanuts in comparison to the 2020 juice were about to get :lol

Proof that Millennials are the most uninformed group of sissies this country has ever produced. You don’t watch anything but Netflix or Reality Television, but yet you snowflakes feel the incessant need to opine on everything politics, science, or religion. Get the **** outta here.

This shit is stupid.

If cable news was any good, millennials would buy it. It's just garbage and propaganda meant to rile people up.

Cable news was good for the 2016 election meltdowns and failed predictions and that was it. Now they're getting their comeuppance.

and the people who watch msnbc or cnn are mostly boomer types too over 49. Does not change his point at all about millenials cutting cable. Also older people lean conservative so not surprising fox leads in ratings. Finally, I'm guessing you consider MSNBC and CNN both pretty liberal. Then that's another reason they dont do as well, splitting the liberal base.

Seems like some of his ex-cabinet officials are returning the favor.

I think part of it is that we are starkly different in our styles. We did not have a common value system. When the President would say, "Well here's what I want to do, and here's how I want to do it," I'd have to say to him: "Well, Mr. President, I understand what you want to do, but you can't do it that way. It's violates the law, it violates a treaty. You know, he got really frustrated."

When the process breaks down, hen you're sort of, in my mind, living in chaos. I don't want to live in a chaotic organization.

You're going to have to get the next Secretary of Defense to lose to ISIS. I'm not going to do it.

Apparently Mattis found Trump to be of 'limited cognitive ability and dubious behavior'.

I wonder if Scarammuci will be successful in getting some of these ex-cabinet members together to speak out.

I've said this before and I'll say it again. Once Trump is out of the White House, the criticisms, stories, recriminations and marginalization will set in from former "supporters." I fully expect a significant portion of his 30-something percent of supporters to abandon him if he loses the 2020 election, and I sense that Republican electeds are eager to tear into him once he holds no sway over them.

As Mattis said...

There is a period in which I owe my silence. It's not external. It's not going to be forever.

And here's another bombshell: some old people actually have internet modems and routers and have actually figured out how to get Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc. I mean how is that even possible??? Everyone hated Bush during his tenure. The media especially.

not until the latter part of his second term they didn't. during the great recession meltdown.

he came into office with a 55-60% range approval rating and after 9/11, he was up to 90%. of course he and his neocon buddies (including maga nsa bolton) used that political capital to start multiple shit storms in the middle east that we're still dealing with almost 20 years later. his approval average for his first term was 62% (37% for the second). he won reelection easily despite there being 2 major wars started and a recession during his first term.

he even won the popular vote in '04, the only republican presidential candidate to accomplish that in the past quarter century.

fox entertainment (aka actual fake news (https://www.newscorpse.com/ncWP/?p=27363)) LOVED them some dubya... until lehman bros went under and the subprime dominoes began to fall.

Fox News' Neil Cavuto rattles off a long list of Trump's falsehoods on air (https://theweek.com/speedreads/862099/fox-news-neil-cavuto-rattles-long-list-trumps-falsehoods-air)

Fox News' Neil Cavuto spent nearly four straight minutes reprimanding President Trump on his Thursday show after the president once again stepped up his feud with the network.

Cavuto launched into his brutal monologue in response to Trump bashing Fox News on Twitter earlier this week, complaining the network isn't "working for us anymore" and telling his supporters it's time to find a new news outlet. The president was apparently set off by Fox having the Democratic National Committee's communications director on for an interview, although he's been grumbling about the network for months.

"The president made it clear, to fact check him is to be all but dead to him," Cavuto said, reminding Trump that "I don't work for you."

For much of the remaining segment, Cavuto ran through a list of false claims Trump has made over the years, addressing the president directly and assuming, probably correctly, that he was watching. "I'm not the one who said Mexico would pay for the wall, you did," Cavuto told Trump. "I'm not the one who claimed Russia didn't meddle in the 2016 election, you did."

After getting to the end of his long list, Cavuto concluded by telling Trump that unfortunately for him, he can't expect to get a "free pass" from Fox going forward."

Oh who the hell believed Mexico was paying for the Wall? I mean aside from Chewing's dumb ass.

Really only ignorant supporters, and even then, you have to wonder whether they were just playing along.

Some elected Republicans were happy to play along and equivocate as well.

“The president says the Mexicans will be paying for the wall through NAFTA,” Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.) said.

Sen. Richard Shelby (R-Ala.) sort of acknowledged that the trade talking point made no sense, but still plowed through it anyway.

“I think what the president’s talking about is this is a term of reference that under NAFTA that we’re going to save a lot of money,” Shelby said, adding that even though NAFTA and the wall are entirely separate things, “It’s still all part of the government. That’s what he’s talking about.”

Rep. Bob Gibbs (R-Ohio) said he was saying it even before Trump was saying it: The trade agreement will indirectly pay for the wall.

How?

“Because we got a better deal,” Gibbs answered, going on to explain that stopping “a bunch of illegals” from coming to America would also pay for the wall. “That’s probably a bigger savings,” he said.

Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.) repeatedly said he has “no idea.” Rep. Jody Hice (R-Ga.) said we would have to “wait and see” on that. And Rep. David Schweikert (R-Ariz.) said he’s “struggled with the mechanics of ‘Hey, it’s going to be because of incongruous trade, it’s going to be because of this and that.’”

“It’ll be fascinating to see how that math actually works,” he said.

Rep. Mac Thornberry (R-Texas) said the president has his arguments on Mexico funding wall construction, and he would leave those to him. Asked if he bought those arguments, Thornberry said it wasn’t for him to “buy or sell the argument.”

Rep. Ted Budd (R-N.C.) said he wasn’t “going to comment on that at the moment,” though, with some prodding, he said, “from an accounting standard, not directly, but indirectly, there’s a lot of transactions between our two countries.”

Rep. Paul Mitchell (R-Mich.) repeatedly said his concern was border security, not who was paying for a wall. “You can ask me that question as many times as you want,” Mitchell said. “You’re not going to trap me into a conversation about whether Mexico is paying because it’s not my problem, nor my concern.”

Trump’s Budget Deficits Could Almost Double Obama’s

It appears that President Trump and Congress have reached a deal to increase the debt limit and a two-year budget that will substantially increase the yearly federal deficit. Besides throwing aside any semblance of budget restraint by either political party, it will create $1 trillion plus budget deficits for as long as the eye can see.

Trump likes to claim that everything he does is the largest by any President. He is going to get his “wish” with the budget deficit since they are on course to be the biggest in an expanding economy. Between the 2018 tax cuts and the increase in spending for 2020 and 2021 it will push the accumulated deficits to be the largest ever over a four-year timeframe. And God help the U.S. when a downturn in the economy hits and the deficits balloon beyond any current projection.

Not a peep from the right
