I'm not saying there aren't varying degrees of maturity from individual to individual... and I'm not saying that people don't tend to mature as they get older... of course there are, and of course they do...

But what I *am* saying is that I have worked with a couple of thousand people over the past 20 years, some as old as 85 and some as young as 15...

And I can tell you in no uncertain terms, I have not met a single individual in my entire life that doesn't do incredibly childish things.

I'm not saying in every moment of every day... of course not... I'm just saying.

People *ALWAYS* do THEIR favorite ****ing way. That is the quintessential characteristic of being a child. Even if it's immature and even it makes less sense to do it that way. Even people that do the right thing in life are still doing it because THAT'S *their* favorite way...

Nobody does SHIT that isn't their favorite way. Even when you sacrifice for someone else, you're making that sacrifice because THAT is YOUR favorite way.

People are just children. Adults don't exist. They're a myth.

No one likes being told what to do. People doing things their own way is a rebellion to that. Doing everything exactly how dictated to you is a form of submission. What you earn at your job is you putting a price tag on your submission. We are all whores in one way or another in that respect.

I agree everyone has their child-like sides, some do better job managing it, some do a better job hiding it. Humans are emotional. As children we are more emotional. As an adult most people learn to curb their emotions better, the emotions are still there however causing child like behavior to creep out.

Strange opinion

It's not childish to do things the way you like to do them

Being "childish" symbolizes a lot of good things. Happiness, innocence, fun, etc. Whether someone perceives those characteristics as a good or bad thing says a lot about their personality and character.

No, not everybody does things their favorite way.

Many sacrifice/put others first.

Many husbands slave away at a job they dislike to keep their family fed and sheltered.

Many women do the same--with 2 jobs.

Many people take responsibility for their actions and issue apologies when things go wrong.
