[QUOTE]"I don't follow the Warriors," Hendriks told The Athletic for a story profiling the A's right-handed reliever. "They treated us like (expletive) over here so we don't care for them much."

Hendriks felt slighted by the Warriors' disregard of the A's when Golden State established itself as a superpower in the Western Conference and advanced to five consecutive NBA Finals. That's not how the A's treated the Warriors when they were struggling, Hendriks said.

[QUOTE]Hendriks*claims the mean-spirited behavior extended to their*parking lot attendants. He said he was once told that his status as a player on the Athletics means less than that of an average*Warriors fan. "I got told I'm not as important as a player for the A's as a fan for the Warriors is," he recalled. "He wouldn

Baseball makes a shit ton of money though, and it still has a huge fan base even if tv ratings don't reflect that.

Dude has a point, so in terms of ratings, NFL > NBA so it would be fair for the Raiders (who haven't done shit in a while but they're still an NFL team) to disrespect the Warriors?

Fair isnt really the issue. If the Raiders made 5 straight superbowls and won 3 the Warriors wouldnt be calling any shots I assure you.

I saw a fan make a good point too. The As werent a sure sellout out when they were good. Theres a year long waitlist for Warrior fans to get in. They are supposed to set aside blocks of tickets for the As instead of their fans when the paying fans are waiting patiently for a chance to see them live?

The As never had that issue. Baseball teams give away huge numbers of corporate tickets to make stands look full. The As averaged 19 thousand fans when they had their best record in 20 years recently. They peaked at 24,000 in a year they almost made the ALCS.

Their stadium seats 56 thousand.

They have 35,000 empty seats at games.

But they act like giving the Warriors tickets is a big deal?

Warriors FANS want their tickets.

The As big attendance games come from opposing teams with stronger fanbases(they had 56 thousand when San Francisco played them....and their home fans got drowned out). If the Warriors played in a half empty arena im sure they would love to get all the local athletes in for free to drum up interest and create photo ops.

When you have 50 thousand extra fans trying to get in I dont see why giving free tickets to local millionaire athletes is the priority because they gave you tickets the fans dont even want. This guy isnt NBA rich but he makes 2 million a season. He can buy tickets even in a sellout. They are still online. He can get in the game if he wants to. The fans barely can. It should be fans first when youre selling out.
