Is that similar to the 18 year old cats on this forum that say this 3pt chucking/layup line era is more skilled than eras of the past?

Just because music these days is more refined, better produced, better mastered, lyricists of today thinking they're better than lyricists of the past (despite learning the very techniques they know from the same oldheads they're hating on), does that make it better?

Same goes when comparing eras of basketball, just because these days you have better training, better nutrition, better analytics, iPads on demand on the bench with players analyzing the very same game that they are taking a rest from, does that make players of today better than players of the past?

Those that bash the '80s/'90s, the same people who were in their respective fathers' nut.sacks during the time they speak of, are essentially saying Migos and Future are better than Nas.

And the Nets that made the finals in 02 had no one averaging over 15ppg.

What's the moronic point that you're trying to make?

So Migos and Future are better than Nas because music is better produced/mastered/refined these days?

Gotcha.

OP with the 5d analogy :biggums:

TIL music is not subjective at all, it's factual

Identical to sports - music is based on definitive winners and losers.

And we confirmed this because Migos faces Future in best of 7 tournaments each year to decide whos best

Players today are not more skilled. They are skilled at different parts of the game.

Guys nowadays generaply have better handles, transition game, and far superior distance shooting.

90s players were much better at posting up and scoring in traffic, as well as midrange shooting.

As for Lonzo, all it says is that his taste in rap is garbage.

Illmatic is a timeless masterpiece.

You Tubed Lonzos acclaimed hip hop artists.

Migos looks like MC Hammers illegitimate bastard son and his rhymes mirror the pinnacle of his education level achieved and where it stopped at age 8.

Future has no future, listened to 15 seconds of 600 days, utter trash.

I still wouldn't call it boring, but all them joints you named are like a Murderers Row of Hip Hop classics. Just about every other rap album will fall short compared to them.

Man you're creating a counter argument that is sliding the threads topic. No one inclduing Lonzo is rating Wu and Dre ect over Nas, that's a separate topic all together. Mr Balls option as the subject suggests is that Migos and Future are better than Nas. We get it, your opinion is Nas is boring, however Nas is and always will a pioneer that spread influence across the globe that was unfathomable. Migos and Future whilst appreciated by a mediocre college prospect that was PR'd to stardom and ended up on the Lakers fueled by his loudmouth father. Cearly has appauling taste in the genre of hip hop and that combined with the scrutiny of his sub par NBA career achievements gives us pleasure. I for one relish these topics because it further highlights the idiocracy of how someone like Lonzo Ball, who should be playing in New Zealand and we should never hear about, is playing in what is meant to be the most prestigious basketball league the globe has to offer.

There is no better or worse generation they're just different. The top rappers and basketball players of today are just as good as players and rappers from the past. Lebron, kd and kawhi could hang with anyone from the past. Rap is the same. Kendrick, j cole and logic can hang with any rappers from the past.

That's not how evolution works buddy. There are more top athlete's now then the 90's but that's only because of population growth. There's 1000000000 million more people in the us than there were in 1990 so your bound to have more of the top anything. The top athlete's of the 90's were just as athletic as the top athlete's now. Mj would still be the most athletic and most skilled 2 gaurd in the league and it wouldn't be close actually. Bo Jackson would be the most athletic running back in the NFL and it wouldn't be close. Don't even get me started on on heavyweight boxing.

Nope we evolved

There wasn't a 7 footers from the 90s who were as athletic as Giannis or 7'3 unicorns like Porzingis or 6'11 guys with guard handles like KD

We evolved as a species.Sports,Music literally everything is much more advanced than it was 20 years ago

Oldheads can't accept the harsh reality that todays athlets are far superior to the athletes 30 years ago

Ahhh Shaq and even wilt 60 years ago were every bit as athletic as Greek and the unicorn. No they couldn't handle the ball like either of them but it was a different game. They relied on the there strength in the post because it was a big man post era. Greek and porz came up in a spread out faster pace three ball era. They didn't evolve because they're not better at all there just different because the game is different. You seem to think that just because Greek can dribble and is agile for his size that he's better than those two but he has zero post game and isn't half as strong as either of those two. If you dropped Shaq and wilt in the NBA now they'd both be better than Greek. So would Hakeem and Kareem.

I won't even go in on porz because he dosnt really belong in the convo anyway. He's overrated for one and if your evolution theory is real it obviously skipped white dudes to begin with.

There ARE better rappers and worse rappers, fact!

Rapping is a skill! some rappers are higher level than others. You have to consider flow, rhyme scheme, multi syllables, content, charisma and beat-picking.

Future can never be as good of a rapper as Biggie, Benny the Butcher, MF Doom or somebody like that.

Their halftime show 2 years back or whatever was so damn cringe and bad with all of the props and dancers and lighting and stupidity needed. As opposed to J. Cole's this year. Literally just a man and a mic, dude held it down.

Op clearly doesn't know what he's talking about. Literally almost every sport right now is dominated by old ass mutha ****as. Nadal,Serena, Federer, LeBron, Brady, Mayweather, Manny PAC. The heavyweight champ isn't old but he's a fat ass Mexican who wouldn't have a chance in hell to win a title in any others era. In track Bolt was crushing kids a decade younger before he retired. Where are all these 20 year olds that have evolved past the previous generation at?

The same technology and education that's giving athlete's of today an edge over athlete's of yesterday is the same technology that older athlete's now use to stay on top. That's why you have so many athlete's staying on top longer.

Not all. I'm not saying the older generations are always better but the fact that there's so many older generations still on top definitely disproves op's point. Theres Ebb and flows. Maybe in a couple of years it there will be alot of younger people dominating and then change again.
