One of the early possible paths of Hurricane Dorian saw it veering in the direction of the lower tip of Alabama. However, it changed direction and instead followed a path that brought it up the east coast to the Carolinas. The path that Trump referenced was 2 days outdated and had already been updated twice since to indicate that Dorian would not veer towards Alabama. On Sunday, Trump said that Alabama was one of the states that would “most likely be hit (much) harder than anticipated.”
The National Weather Service in Alabama quickly responded, saying:
Alabama will NOT see any impacts from #Dorian. We repeat, no impacts from Hurricane #Dorian will be felt across Alabama,” it said. “The system will remain too far east.
This is the projected path for Dorian on Sunday when Trump said that Alabama is one of the states that would most likely be hit harder. Let me know if anyone needs help finding Alabama.

The only reason this is still a story is that President Sharpie is too conceited to admit that he made even a minor error, and has doubled and tripled down on that error, going as far as doctoring a map and asking officials to make public declarations backing him up. It's a little pathetic.

Incidentally, look at the date under the name of the hurricane in the lower right hand corner of the projection map President Sharpie drew on. I was wrong, and I can admit it openly for all to see. Please forgive me. The map he trotted out was 3 days old, not 2. My bad.

he over exaggerated the possibility of alabama getting hit. he was wrong in doing so. CNN reported states like alabama "should be on the look out".

Oh, by the way, that CNN clip is from earlier in the week - either Wednesday or Thursday. CNN had updated their projections by Saturday in accordance with the official NOAA projections and were no longer saying that Dorian would hit Alabama. Lol, Sharpie reached back to an outdated CNN broadcast from earlier in the week to justify his statement 3- 4 days later.
What can the sharpie fix next you may ask...

...and the steps his staff has to take to protect the whiny lil b!tch of a president :facepalm
The federal agency that oversees the National Weather Service has sided with President Trump over its own scientists in the ongoing controversy over whether Alabama was at risk of a direct hit from Hurricane Dorian.
Referencing archived hurricane advisories, the NOAA statement said that information provided to the president and the public between Aug. 28 and Sept. 2 “demonstrated that tropical-storm-force winds from Hurricane Dorian could impact Alabama."
In an unusual move, the statement also admonished its National Weather Service office in Birmingham, Ala., which had released a tweet contradicting Trump’s claim and stating, “Alabama will NOT see any impacts from #Dorian.”
...
Released six days after Trump’s first tweet on the matter, the NOAA statement was unsigned, neither from the acting head of the agency nor any particular spokesman. It also came a day after the president’s homeland security and counterterrorism adviser released a statement justifying Trump’s claims of the Alabama threat.
The NOAA statement Friday makes no reference to the fact that when Trump tweeted that Alabama was at risk, it was not in the National Hurricane Center’s “cone of uncertainty,” which is where forecasters determine the storm is most likely to track. Alabama also had not appeared in the cone in days earlier, and no Hurricane Center text product ever mentioned the state.
Trump’s tweet that Alabama would be affected by the storm gained national attention Wednesday when he presented a modified version of the forecast cone from Aug. 29, extended into Alabama — hand-drawn using a Sharpie. The crudely altered map appeared to represent an effort to retroactively justify the original Alabama tweet.
NOAA siding with LIL DONNY OVER THEIR OWN SCIENTISTS AND METEOROLOGISTS.. :facepalm
Notice the most comical part is nobody from NOAA was willing to put their name on the statement released. They also waited 6 days before they came to Lil Donny's defense and only after Homeland security adviser came to his rescue   That's who the moron in the White House is - nothing but a laughingstock :oldlol:

Lol, if that were the discussion, sure... but really, people are discussing why his ego is so fragile that he felt the need draw on a map to save face, and then lie about it. Lol, and why he continues to insist that he was right when everyone knows he made a simple mistake because he was not up-to-date on the info.
The man has problems. I wish more people ignored him but it's kinda hard when he the bloody President.

You know the interesting thing on ranker.com is that they break down the voters by generation on all subjects...when it came to the NBA GOAT, MJ won with Boomers, Gen X and Millennials. That I found surprising, I thought that maybe KAJ or even Bird or Magic would've won with Boomers since they saw their peaks (and they saw these GOATs and still voted MJ), and Millennials would've chosen LBJ since they didn't see previous GOATs (except for on YouTube), but nope, MJ won with all generations...

Lol, this has gotten to be a pretty weak and hackneyed rejoinder. You guys are so keen on supporting every bit of foolishness from Sharps that you posted a tweet from him that only reinforces that he didn't know what he was talking about in the first place. That's pretty embarrassing.
I mean, what's next? Are you guys going to start a thread about how he pwned the military by taking their money for his wall? :oldlol:

[QUOTE]According to a NOAA meteorologist the Post spoke with on the condition of anonymity, this directive came after the NWS Birmingham office tweeted that Trump was full of crap and Dorian was too far east for Alabama to be impacted by it.
And when the president defended his initial claims days later with a storm projection map drawn on with Sharpie, so obviously and poorly doctored that it was almost laughable, the NWS purportedly reiterated this warning to staff. According to the meteorologist the Post spoke with, these directives marked a stark difference to the organization
