Giannis Antetokounmpo was once again a complete and total scrub in FIBA play with Greece's national team. And once again, the team performed better with him on the bench.

He has been sucking in FIBA play for years on end now....

without NBA rules and reffing we see how good the "NBA Most Valuable Player" really is.....

can't shoot
can't dribble
can't score against a set offense in half court
can't dribble without traveling and palming
can't score when more than 3 feet away from the basket
can't run pick and roll, either as an initiator, or a finisher

has limited passing ability
has limited court vision

is a bad team defender
is a bad man defender on the perimeter (too slow to keep guys in front of him)

has a low basketball awareness
has a low basketball IQ

has basically just one move - a Euro step, which is done wrong and is a travel

can't score basically unless it is dunk or a layup

All this with the FIBA refs going out of their way to help him. They gave him fouls and free throws when he piled into defenders, which isn't allowed under FIBA rules - they gave him that anyway.

they just didn't allow him to lower his shoulder and knock people over, like the NBA allows.

They allowed him to palm the ball (almost never happens in FIBA), they allowed him to take 3-4 steps (pretty much never allowed in FIBA) - on several of his made dunks, he took 3 steps and they even counted one where he took 4 steps...............other players would without question be called for traveling under FIBA reffing.

Hell, he even got an easy bracket to advance to the quarterfinals, and he still sucked so bad he screwed Greece out of the elimination round.

In 5 games, Giannis was named the player of the game ONE TIME.........this against teams that are considered WEAK by FIBA standards, like New Zealand, Montenegro and Czech Republic, or just average like Brazil.

Even against the one good team he played (USA), it was against the worst USA team of the last 20 years.............

What a true embarrassment for the NBA, for it's fixed rules and reffing and for all of the US sports media members that voted for Giannis to be the league's MVP.

Straight out PATHETIC.

Vassilis Spanoulis was born in Larissa - that is in Greece.

He is basically a freak of a physicall specimen that plays basketball, rather than a basketball player with an amazing physique and athleticism.

Spanoulis is better than Galis was. Spanoulis had a way better succes with Greek NT and a far better EuroLeague career (by miles actually).

Best Greek national team players ever:

1. Vassilis Spanoulis
2. Nikos Galis
3. Panagiotis Giannakis
4. Theo Papaloukas
5. Dimitris Diamantidis
6. Nikos Zisis

Giannis is way down the list.

only a clueless retard would put Spanoulis over Galis, Giannakis over Diamantidis and Giannis way down...

so it makes perfect sense that you did

Oh look, the Panathinaikos fans (this time pretending to be a PAOK fan) to the rescue.

Spanoulis has won more and has more personal accolades than Galis. He dwarfed Galis' EuroLeague career. Hell, Galis never even made a EuroLeague Final.............while Spanoulis is EuroLeague GOAT.

Diamantidis was 75% a creation of rigged Greek League refs.

Greece became irrelevant after Diamintidis retired. They should just gave him the ball instead of the sub NBA talent that failed after. I believe the Nigerian will eventually put the Greece in the map and finally win an Olympic medal.
