Its gonna happen eventually . They think they can squeeze assets out of a 35yo on his last leg. Lakeshow awaits:pimp:

They told him they expect him to come to camp and they won’t even begin talking with his agent about the buyout. Feel free to Google it for several links. I’m on my phone right now.....

I suppose they see his value as a mentor to the younger players but that still somewhat surprises me. He said to be such a respected figure one would think they would want to let him go out on his terms.

That's nonsense. They shouldn't be expected to pay him money so he can just leave and play for a contender especially considering how overpaid he is. If he wants a buyout than he should lower how much he wants to about half of his salary. If not, then he shows up for work. I wish I could get paid 17 million dollars to play basketball.

have to agree. I'm sure he'll get the buyout after the trade deadline if he's still there

Good.

Players have too much power.

They're employees. Not owners.

he's making 17 mill this year. For that much money, if he wants out he should forgo that salary instead of Memphis being forced to pay anything. If he wants to get paid he should show up for work. IMO It'd be different if he was making much less.
