big chef fan but he couldnt hold a candle to kobe on defense. (or slash / dunk game obvi)

also the 3 point avalanche is much more susceptible to negative variance than GOATbe's all time great mid range game.

Both better than bran doe.

LeBron is 33% in NBA finals success.
LeBron has also lost 60% of all the games he's ever played in the NBA finals.

Let that sink in.

crazy when you take into consideration Kobe was a 41% Finals chucker

Both 2 of the most underwhelming Finals performers all time, wouldn't want the ball in either guys hands for big boy post season moments

And for a comparison, known chucker Harden is only 1 below him for his career at 44% :oldlol:

With currently NBA rules, Kobe Bryant would average 40 points per game with 60 percent in field goals and 50 percent from three point line

James Harden with the 00s rules would average 15 points per game :oldlol:

THE THREAD CAN BE CLOSED

Reality: averaged 35%fg in 2016 :yaohappy:After 20 seasons in the league and a torn achilles to go along with a career of playing through injuries instead of sitting out like a certain bitchboy. Our God lives on rent free in your head 3 years later

Terrible comparison. Kobe through his prime played in tougher scoring conditions because of the rules.

Steph also isn't a great iso scorer against anyone who isn't a slow big so warriors run a shit ton of screens to either help free him for a look or to get him switched on one of those slower bigs. Kobe on the other hand would iso anyone because he didn't need screens to get a good look.

Oh and if we're talking finals when they're against the best competition in an environment where the refs arnt calling the game as tight they're actually both pretty inefficient. Steph fans will hide behind his foul shooting which makes his ts% look pretty good but from the field neither were efficient in the finals.

As a ball hog and shoot-without-hesitation player, 45% is a really good average.

:oldlol:

Really though the fact that Kobe ended with 45% after 20 years of his shot selection and shooting over 2 people every shot is insanely impressive. Despite all the jokes there is a reason the guy is great and most people who have touched an NBA court have him highly regarded.

Because a lot of people did not really watch Kobe played.

Who's better who's not, is not the discussion here.
I am just talking about the shot selection here.

Unlike some players who would calculate the chance of making the shots and the shooting percentage, Kobe just took so many wild, heavily congested, and crazy shots in his career; and yet, he still has 45%. That is really impressive.
