I'm torn I don't know .. I wanna say yes because that's a crazy historical accomplishment for the U.S. but part of me thinks 'bullshit' .. they were able to do the mission on the first try and everything went perfectly .. it's possible but wow that's an incredible accomplishment if true .. and what's with the whole thing about losing a bunch of footage .. losing a bunch of things that you would think would be closely guarded since it's such an epic, historical happening .. but then of course you have all the other missions .. those all can't be fake as well right ? .. I don't know

A whole bunch of things went wrong. Neil Armstrong only had one practice run with the lunar module and had to eject before it crashed. When they landed he only had a few seconds left of fuel and they came very close to crashing into the surface. Then there's the Apollo 13 mission that had to abort a moon landing and barely got the astronauts home alive.
Nixon had 2 speeches drawn up just in case the Apollo 11 mission failed.

Didn't they leave laser reflector on the moon? That seems like proof to me.

He's right though. It would take such massive amounts of international secrecy for that to have been fake.

The moon landing conspiracy is a giant distraction for people who would otherwise come dangerously close to revealing other conspiracy theories which are important and probable like JFK and 9/11.

Doesn’t surprise me that a guy who puts his faith in an archaic cult doesn’t believe it’s real :oldlol:
I didn't state whether I think it happened or not, I just believe it's idiotic to think that it is harder to fake it here than it is to actually do it.
I don't have a firm opinion on if it happened or not. The arguments for both make sense to me, therefore I won't speak on the matter as I don't have a true 100% stance on the matter.
On record, 12 people allegedly have set foot on the moon:
Neil Armstrong – Apollo 11, 1969
Buzz Aldrin – Apollo 11, 1969
Pete Conrad – Apollo 12, 1969
Alan Bean – Apollo 12, 1969
Alan Shepard, Apollo 14, 1971
Edgar Mitchell – Apollo 14, 1971
David Scott – Apollo 15, 1971
James Irwin – Apollo 15, 1971
John Young – Apollo 16, 1972
Charles Duke – Apollo 16, 1972
Gene Cernan – Apollo 17, 1972
Harrison Schmitt – Apollo 17, 1972

While I can see how that could be very difficult to do, that is something that happens a lot more prevalently than humans landing on the moon. The quantity alone isn't my argument, it's part of it...but once you factor in all the failed missions, the science behind everything...I stand on the argument that it is harder to do than it is to fake. Especially back then.

They didn't do the mission on the first try. There's a reason it's called. There were literally dozens of previous missions gradually testing the rockets and crews capabilities, including Apollo 1...when they were resting before Apollo 1, a fire broke out in the command module and it killed hte whole crew burning them alive. NASA didn't run the Apollo 2 mission for a full year and half because of this because they had to redesign the cockpit and safety procedures.
Here's a Wiki to all the Apollo and Saturn missions, there's so many missions they had to be done correctly before Apollo 11.

Rocket Science isn't as difficult or new as many think. Landing on the moon isn't truly that impressive. Many nations have done it since.

The most surprising part of this thread to me is the fact that the disbelief isn't significantly higher... I thought this was one of the more accepted conspiracies...

Whether it's real or fake, it really does suck that humans won't travel further than that in our lifetimes.
So much shit to explore in space yet we're hundreds if not thousands of years away from actually being able to traverse any of it. Still in the infant stages of space travel.
Personally I do believe we landed on the moon but I disagree that it's harder to fake it than it is to actually do it.

The sad truth for most people who disbelieve that the USa or other nations have done, is that what that statement really means.....
... IS THAT THEY KNOW THEIR OWN PEOPLE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO EVEN COME CLOSE TO DOING IT FOR HUNDREDS, IF NOT THOUSANDS OF YEARS.
When someone disbelieves landing on the moon, introduce them to the story of post-WW2 kidnapping of nazi Rocket Scientists, by both the USA & Russia... especially the story of the grandfather of NASA, Werner Von Braun. It will open their eyes to just how much more intelligent many men on earth are, due to the natural selection for delayed gratification and creative intelligence, that took place ... due to the pressures of harsh winters for millenia.

We placed a mirror on the moon so that we can measure the distance to the moon from any given point on earth. Anyone can go to almost any university with a halfway decent astronomy program and reflect a laser off of that mirror.

USA & Russia (whose space programs are BOTH largely run by kidnapped ex-nazi rocket scientists) have both successfully installed retroreflectors on the moon for pinging. Israel has attempted to but their craft crashed far too wildly to make use of anything on board in anything close to a useful scientific way.

Couldn’t that have been done with an unmanned mission?
They certainly could have been carried out by robotic missions. The Russians have a retro-reflector on one of their rovers left on the moon. Here's the problem, there is no robot or rover attached to or near the retro-reflector placed in 1969. We'd have to reason that a rocket "dropped" it off. The rocket certainly didn't land, because then the obvious question is "where is that rocket." I can't begin to explain how difficult it would be to drop off a mirror on the surface of the moon via rocket.
Oh, and then there are the footprints around the reflector.

I can give a fck less what happened or happens on the moon. Take that funding and invest it into education or something else more useful. What we gonna do with the information we have? It won't do much. It'll tell us perhaps more about our own planet but.. I.. Really don't care lol

Faking it is obviously much easier than actually doing it. Keeping it a secret for 50 years is the hard part. How many people would have to be involved in a hoax of that magnitude. Dozens? Hundreds? And yet nobody has come forth with compelling evidence that they took part in faking the moon landings. As more people become involved, it becomes exponentially harder to keep something like that a secret.
