this
adding irrelevant cosmetics like ballerina splits in the air and sticking your tongue out adds nothing of difficulty to that poor defense shown :lol

This dude was literally if Kyrie Irving was the GOAT in every other aspect of basketball mechanics + mentality.
Absolutely insane

What's even more impressive than the layup itself is how good he was at protecting the ball. The cat-like reflexes he had to evade those quick steal attempts were some alien shit.

MJ was literally must-see tv every night from 87-93. And even after that, you still didn't know if you'd miss a gem if you missed the game.

There's this Layup where MJ's arms were tied by a Bucks or Mavericks player and he made it with the strength of his forearms.

Posted up he spun so fast he left Dumars bolted to the floor, jumped under the backboard, double pumped and laid it up left handed over his shoulder on his way down.
His creativity was off the charts.

I disagree...MJ was must watch TV from the moment he stepped in the court with a Bulls uniform. He was free to wreck havoc on the league after being tied down in a rigid system under Dean Smith.

It depends on your what you're looking for. In terms of creativity and explosiveness, MJ went from making 3+ ridiculous unimaginably difficult moves a night to being more of a technical master that could still pull a rabbit out of his hat when needed.
He was a shooting star in the mid to late 90's. He was a meteor shower earlier in his career.

I think DRose might have done that once back in 2011.
But he was a mini-MJ that year.

Yeah I get what you're saying.
Been watching old videos on YouTube of MJ's first years in the league and it's insane how graceful and ridiculously explosive he was. And that hang time on contested jumpers  Never seen anyone come close to that version of MJ, not peak Wade nor Kobe or anyone else for that matter.

I don't know about more difficult but Vince definitely has some that are on par with some of mj's best. Vince didn't do them as often as mj though. He most definitely had the hops but he didn't have mj's moves or insane first step to blow by defenders on a regular basis like mj did.
