People forget that the 96-98 Bulls were broken up before a strike shortened 99 season that would've benefitted an older team like them...Bulls' two Jerrys should've been hung in a Chicago public square for being cheap fukkers for refusing to bring back the whole gang on one year contracts

Krause hated PJax and wanted him gone, Pip wanted to get paid (never was respected by the FO and paid his worth) and so a Dynasty was done in from within, still pisses me off when I think about it.

Lol, triggered little bitch.

Obviously they wouldn't go 50-0 you dumfukk, it's called hyperbole, Rodman says crazy shit but a strike shortened season would favor a veteran team you moron and they were never pushed to 7 games in the Finals, to say they wouldn't 4peat is stupid...fukk outta my thread, let the adults talk, son.

They obviously would've been contenders, and hell, they could've won, but '98 they really started to show vulnerability. If they had run it back for '99 they would've had to face an Indy team that nearly beat them the year before, then Duncan/Robinson/Pop in the Finals, a series I would honestly pick the Spurs to win

Indy didn't even make it to the 99 Finals...and I agree that the Spurs would've been a worthy opponent. And for some idiots to say that they had no chance at a 4peat is idiotic. Being a contender = chance at a title.

Should've at least been given the chance to defend the title, not busted up for off court reasons.

^^^ Spurs had the kind of athleticism that MJ feasted on - go watch MJ in 1998 vs Spurs - he controls them and even beats them without Pippen (hitting the game-tying three to force OT that Lebron made Ray hit in 13'.. from exact same spot (http://cdn.makeagif.com/media/10-05-2015/rP-QUs.gif) too..)

MJ controlled Duncan easily just like he used to do Daughtery and Parker/Ginobili, I mean Daughtery/Price/Nance/Harper in the tough-era late 80's/early 90's.. MJ and injuries is the only reason those guys (#1 SRS in 89') never got off the ground.

Basically, you have zero evidence whatsoever except your blowhard opinion that the upstart spurs could unseat the champion bulls, and all the evidence (posted above) shows the opposite being more likely.. Bulls would've been massive favorites against Utah's bitch

Phil was offered a deal by Chicago but chose not to take it.

MJ said he would play for no other coach but Phil, so no Phil, no MJ. Not sure why MJ was afraid of having a different coach.

Maybe if MJ would have committed longer instead of signing 1yr deals over his last 2 seasons, Scottie and others would have signed longer to instead of guessing what MJ was going to do.... at least that's the theory I was told about another player that did 1yr deals.

Bottom line is, it's Jordan's fault the team broke up due to lack of commitment.

All irrelevant bullshit. The Jazz went 2-0 against the Bulls in '98, how did that work out for them in the Finals :lol

The whole league was vulnerable. Every team played somewhat discombobulated since there wasn

It's a helluva alot better than you blindly saying that Utah's b.itch would beat the heavily-favored, 3-time defending champs in a shortened season designed for old goats

And in your example, the Jazz weren't the more athletic team, whereas the bulls are more athletic than the Spurs, and favored

Bulls could have got rid of Pippen, Rodman and Kukoc and replaced them with Pete Myers quality players and easily skated to a 99 championship as long as they had Jordan...right, 3ball?

Replace Pippen with the following players and the Bulls 3-peat

Penny
Grant Hill

97' or 98' Vin Baker (all-nba.over Pip and a monster)
Anthony Mason (16/11/6, all-nba and all-defense in 97'.... hof with MJ.. assassin mentality)

Kemp
Payton

Maybe Schrempf too - he was better offensively than 2nd three-peat Pip and might've meshed well with fellow euro Kukoc.. He was also a very good defender that used to guard MJ when he was in Indiana.. the Bulls simply had great defenders with mj/rodman plus the best culture/leadership, so they would have a great defensive team without Pip (similar to how 18' Boston's system and personnel gave them the #1 defense despite Kyrie - they didn't need a juggernaut at Kyrie's spot)

Ultimately, Pippen's weak offense means that many better offensive guys could replace him, as long as they're solid defensively
