(Their biggest hit song by Orr)

Orr sung many of their biggest hits, but the talent and songwriting was all Ocasek from day one.

Another feather under his cap is despite being ugly, skinny and a sickly looking 40 year old, he wifed what many considered the most beautiful woman in the world, Paulina Porizkova, when she was 18, and they were married til his death. But she separated from him less 2 years ago and some say he really died of a broken heart.

How the hell was Ocasek just 2 years younger than Paul McCartney when the Beatles were huge in the early 60s while the Cars got big in the late 70s :wtf: Surprised Ocasek was so old, I thought he would be in his mid 60s or so.

RIP

It seems like I was more bummed about Ben Orr dying in 2000 than I am of Ocasek. Not sure why.

I see a lot of people referring to Ocasek as the "lead" singer but like OP said, Orr sang a lot of their big hits (which I didn't know until Youtube came out) I just assumed Ric sang all the tunes.

Ric was indeed the front man, but Orr was really overlooked. Tried to get tix for their HOF induction but had no luck.
