Where's RoseCity the retard who thinks 1 box score from when LaMelo was 15 makes him a trash prospect? :oldlol: :oldlol: :oldlol:

Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xhP87xToEZ0

"Melo easily could have finished with 12-14 assists had his bigs finished some of the looks he created. Scouts here raving about the poise and maturity he showed. Looks like he's going to have a huge year out in Australia. Really fun, high-level game. RJ Hampton up next now."

There were 27 NBA scouts this game.

Lavar always said Lamelo is the most talented out of the 3 brothers. Kid is a PG nearing 6'8 with range and play making abilities.

Do you seriously think Lonzo's not super talented? I couldnt give two shits about him anymore so its not like Im biased (maybe a little) but I can tell you that when he was healthy, he was unbelievable for the team. He legit changes the team with his defensive energy and just all around sharing the ball. I know you'll probably reply with "yeah Lakers were real good with him" or something stupid like that but I've watched every Laker game with Lonzo and without him, shit was day and night in terms of impact the kid had. His main problems are obviously his shot and his health but his talent is unbelievable. He has the ability to transform a team like he did with UCLA if he can stay healthy....

He's right, though. :confusedshrug: Obviously a bit embellished but what he's saying about Lonzo's defense is accurate. He completely transformed LA's defense when he was out there with his activity and rotations. They went from middle of the pack defensively to worst in the league when Lonzo went out.

The kid has major issues scoring-wise, but he is exceptionally talented in other areas.

LaMelo Ball will be a lottery pick unless he gets injured or arrested.

Totally forgot about Aaron Brooks. How do you become Most Improved Player of the Year to basically bounced around the league and no one wants you starting a year later.

I'll get shouted down for saying this, but:

LeMelo is going down Terrance Ferguson's path, had a year with the Adelaide 36's in our league and now starts when needed for OKC.
If you can just watch the game without associating the history, he's doing alright.
20 points against the Perth Wildcats, whilst obviously not very much at all from an Americans point of view he's setting his career in place as role player off the bench.
Ferguson's stats are trash but he's had a few wow factor moments, I see LeMelo doing the same and he has generated some talk, potential more interest in our league.

The question isn't about LaMelo's "talent" but his willingness to be coached and play within a team concept.

He aint much different than whom he was named after.

That's the result of not being able to shoot worth a ****. You work on other things when you have no shot.

Except Lonzo was one of, if not the BEST defensive PG this past season. His 3 point shooting was 38% + before his injury (a couple months sample I think).

You realize an NBA talent could drop 50 ppg in the league right?

Holy shit I thought you were joking. I don't see it with this kid at all. I really don't.

Lonzo at least proved it at UCLA. He made big shots. Even then I knew he was a bust.

LaMelo's Gumby looking ass isn't NBA material. I stand by that.

Yeah thats why Slam amongst other notable sites have Lamelo going as a lottery pick and some even at #1 pick. You lose retard. No one cares about your stupid opinion about some euro game he played as a 15 year old.

LaMelo is very talented.

Quick off the dribble, handles, long/great size for a guard, and even quickened his release (even though it still looks ugly).

He'll easily be a top 5 pick.

Not all...players like Harden would not get the flop calls and would also have to put up with actual physicality...he ain't dropping 50

He would be mentally destroyed having to actually play basketball and not a con game

6/16 (0/5 3FG%) for 12p 8r 4a 4s 0TOs on a loss.
His team was -17 with him playing (worst in the game).

Good stats, but far from a #1 pick so far.

Melo hasn't improved much since his years at Chino, he's gotten taller but that's about where the line ends. If it wasn't for LaVar, Zo and the name, he'd be a fringe FRP. He's honestly Jamal Crawford without an iota of the handles nor personality.

Unlike most here, I've had the opportunity to see the Balls play since Zo was in AAU.

2020 guards I'd take over him:

Anthony Edwards
Cole Anthony
RJ Hampton
Nico Mannion
Josh Green
Cassius Stanley
Johnny Juzang

Do you honestly believe he is an nba talent because I don’t. I say that admittedly seeing slight improvement in his finishing ability around the basket. I just think the NBA is so much harder he can’t cut it in the league.

3-15 shooting in his first 2 pre season games. Coming off the bench too in a relaxed setting. He finished the first game minus 1 (was -9 at one point). Tonight he finished the game a team worst -17.

LaMelo looks awful on defense. His man blows by him with easy. Leaving the defense scrambling. His jumper looks awful. It's only going to get harder for him. I called this.
