Just ignore them. Negative reps are the only reps people actually give out. Make a good post, and people will respond with a laugh or applause icon, but not click the rep. Make a post with a joke that's too intelligent for ISHiots, or with a knock on somebody's favorite team, and it's bad rep. The list of posts I've gotten bad rep for is a joke of its own. The system serves no purpose and should be dropped. I'm quite sure I'll get a negative rep for this post as well.

I made a post about the Raptors being bad and got negative repped a bunch of times. It was insane. I'll never make that mistake again.

The only one who gives me negative reps is even bigger black guy. Whenever he's able to I get a neg rep saying "lugz!" Some people just shouldn't be allowed near a computer.

I try and give out as many positive reps as I do negative reps but it's tough cause the overall intelligence of most of the posters here are so bad.

I could name the good posters on two hands.

I think the problem is that a lot of people give bad Reps because they disagree with your ideas, not with the way in which you express them. For example I made a post that explained how the Grizzlies will finish in the top 6-7 out west next season and I got a negative rep saying "no homo they won't" :rolleyes:

post rep is supposed to identify who posts well and who doesn't, not who thinks what. There are all kinds of posts I disagree with, but many of them are well written and valuable contributions to the board, and those are the ones that should get positive reputation points, and not be decisions based on my league biases

Dudes like you GOBB, plus Bracer, Wizzy, Jerm, My man TEBBG, TMOGE are really outspoken, so neg points are almost a given, just like in high school, the most poular people are always the most under scrutiny. We as a whole know who those people are. This community is the barber shop of the internet basketball segway. We front on eachother all in good fun. In the end we all can just walk away. There are the disrupters, but they get weeded out in the end.

two thing I've noticed about this site.

1-neagative reppers (people who hand out neg reps) are weak debaters with flawed logic 99.9% of the time.

2-people who say they 'owned' people are the ones who were usually b*tch slapped in the argument.

Its like neg-repping and 'owning' are the last grasps of the weak.

I think the mods should punish neg-reppers if it is unwarranted.
IE. giving a negative rep to someone who tried to negative rep another poster without warrant, or only out of spite or weakness. Then people would think twice about neg-repping jsut cuz they couldn't hang.
