The bulls won so many games because they were, by far, the best defensive team in the league...which Rose had little to nothing to do with as he had basically neutral impact in that regard. Frankly, Dwight should have been the MVP in 2011. Like him or not he actually carried that team to those 52 wins. Rose wasn't even a top 5 player in the league in 2011 when they gave him that MVP. LeBron, Wade, Kobe, Dirk, Dwight were all better.

As for that one game that he missed because hes human and had a family emergency, you can guess how much it affected his perception as a hard working professional among his colleagues. Thats right, zero.

Now Rose was voted second by the fans for the allstar game, and fourth by the players, and would have been a 6th man of the year if not for a historically great Lou Will. So that proves hes a star. He is more efficient, better shooter, and has more control and finesse than Westbrook. The only thing that Westbrook is better at is padding rebounds and hogging the ball for assists, which of course he can do since he is more durable than Rose and therefore plays ten minutes more per game.
