Frank Vogel says Avery Bradley is “the guy everybody’s talking about” with his tenaciousness through first two days of camp. Today Vogel played Bradley, KCP and Dwight alongside Anthony Davis and LeBron

Frank Vogel said that Avery Bradley has been the standout at camp.

"It became very clear from coaching against him, I’d say, ‘Don’t dribble the ball. If Avery’s on you, pass the ball. Give it up, because you’re not going anywhere off the bounce with Avery Bradley on you.’”

Clippers have good perimeter defense but there interior D is meh (Zubac & Harrell)

Lakers have both elite perimeter and interior defense plus Vogel is a defense focused coach

Until I see Dwight play, Im skeptical of what him; however, the guy seems to have toned it down with his jokes and smiling off the court. Seems to be a lot more serious about this opportunity knowing fully well that it can make or break him.

Bradley has talked a lot about making a comeback from injuries and losing more than 40 pounds of weight. He talked about choosing this Lakers team because on the Celtics with KG, you couldnt take a night off in practice because everyone brought their A game so he said he picked the Lakers because he wanted that same aura again.

Bradley may or may not be at the end of the bench depending on how back to form he is. Beverely is their key playmaker / PG who averages 3 assists per game. I can most definitely make fun of fvcking Beverely lmao.

He's a good three point shooter, great on D, and a good rebounder too.
Assists? Won't be his role, he'll only be asked to bring the ball up to mid court and then stay on the perimeter.
It would look different if he played for another team, but he's a great fit for the Clippers.

No real basketball fan is talking about Patrick Beverlys assists per game as somehow defining his contribution. He’s among the best three and d point guards imaginable. You sit down and think for a second about every point guard you’ve ever seen in your life who is a better defensive player than Beverly is right now. How many of them are also 38-40 percent shooters from three?

He is among the best there is at one of the most desired types of perimeter player for this era.

He’s not supposed to be dribbling around looking for assists. He’s there to stop you and make open jumpers. Few do that better.

Who will take over that duty? Kawhi? Kawhi certainly can but he is injury prone and on minutes restrictions throughout the season. He often takes off games when he feels like it. Somebody will have to take over the dribbling duty and setting up teammates when Kawhi is resting/not playing. Still, Kawhi is not a great pointforward tbh..
PG is the best playmaker on the team. He will play the Pippen/Point Forward role and average 6 assists per game this season
