somehow Phil Jackson's preference for big point guards turned into small forwards having to guard power forwards

Honestly though, if you have the chance to draft Pippen or Mo Williams, you go Mo Williams 10 times out of 10.

That wasn’t Pippen’s only unreal D, if you know what I mean.

No it wasn't, which is why the Bulls' defense only ranked 7th during the 1st three-peat

Ultimately, guys like Payton, Garnett, or Duncan were equal or better defenders than Pippen, and we'd never accept 15 on 33% from them in their prime like Pippen did many times (see previous post).. that would be massive black marks on their careers forever

Accordingly, Pippen's many horrific series should be looked at the same way (as black marks) and his weak offense should reduce his all-time ranking like it would anyone else

The stats don't lie - a 7th ranked defense means that ur overrating Pippens D

hey wheels I spoke with pippen the other day, he appreciates you sucking and gargling and holding his cawk down your throat for free without even asking.. he really does

but he told me that mj is going to be forever known as the greatest player to ever touch the game

I calmly reminded him that he averaged a whopping 16 ppg and is considered the greatest "second" option in nba history on ISH

he cringed.

I even told him that his career 32% 3 point percentage would qualify him as an auto mechanic according to this very same board, and that he wouldn't be able to play in todays NBA despite being the "best second option" ever.

I'm not sure if we'll be talking much more..

Kiki Vandeweghe was guarding Pippen. Vanderweghe was a good player in his day, but he was too slow and a defensive liability. Pippen was going to feast.

You're right, he needed X-man to intimidate and outplay him:

X-man. 92 ECF - 18 on 47%
Pippen 92 ECF - 16 on 42%

Or the Hawks' all-nba forwards:

Nique 93' 1st Rd..... 30 on 44%
Willis 93' 1st Rd...... 18 on 46%
Pippen 93' 1st Rd... 16 on 43%

Or all-nba Penny:

Penny. 96' ECF - 25.5 on 47%
Pippen 96 ECF - 18.5 on 45%

It all-nba Schrempf:

Schrempf 96' Finals... 16 on 48%
S Pippen 96 Finals...... 16 on 34%

Anybody good would typically outplay Pippen, even in his prime.. when he was finally viable in 1991, it was barely - he was only a year removed from being no help in 89' and 90'..

Ultimately, mj carried an 18 ppg 2nd option to 6 rings by scoring 10-20 more than him in every Finals and hitting every big shot (pippen had zero big shots in conference finals or finals)

I really appreciate your posts on MJ. He is clearly the GOAT and it's not even close but you have to admit Pips impact on the game couldn't be measured through stats.

This! but that's how it goes with MJ jockers they are all brainwashed to think Jordan was god since the 90's:oldlol:. Pippen was a better multipositional defender, passer and creator for others through 6´8 ballhandling point-forward play. Jordan was the better clutch scorer and shooter, pure scorer and slasher in half court situations. They where equal finishers and drunkers on the open floor or on the fast break and aswell as rebounders.

I wonder why this video is not avaiable anymore :facepalm
