He's the one who told the wife that he wanted a divorce, and she was devastated. In her text messages to her friend, hours before he killed her, she was trying to figure out ways to save the marriage. Wondering what she could do, if they can get help.

I wish I could describe his level of stupidity in conjunction with his ability to not feel any human emotions, thus not being able to relate to how others will interpret his actions. Since he's not able to feel emotions in the same way that you and I can, and imagine what the other person is feeling. He could lead a trail of clues and think that by simply saying that he's a nice guy, he would never be a suspect. That simple.

After a few hours of being interrogated the FBI woman finally confronted him about the fact that he hasn't shown any emotions whatsoever over his children, and immediately he started trying to fake it. It was so awkward.

I watched quite a bit of the footage from the house and the interrogations some years ago, I remember someone writing something similar in a comment at the time as well, though not as detailed.
Chris actually gave an indication of this when the cop was asking questions at the house, he said that him saying no to being on a photo or in a video was just not an option.

They lived a fake life with everything being projected onto facebook different than what it really was, with constant pressure trying to make everything look perfect. It's sad to see.

Something I don't think was highlighted much in the documentary, but those cops did a great job breaking him down piece by piece and thank god for that.

I remember watching his sentencing and seeing his mom crying profusely. She also forgave him. I just don't know how you can forgive someone after they did all that, I don't care if it's your child or not

A mother's love knows no bounds. Not all mothers have this kind of love but the ones that do...I can kill all my siblings and know for certain that my mother will still love me.

Men/fathers just won't ever understand the depth of a mother's love. I know I don't.

this shit gets worse everytime I read more about it .. she just sat there in silence while her father was killing her own sister who was right beside her .. seriously I'm all for bringing back medieval torture/executions on public display .. people know the consequences aren't all that bad if they do things like this .. yeah you go to prison but no one's inflicting any real physical pain on you ..
