Another one.
Take any player out of the league and replace with MJ and the league is infinitely better. Those that never saw the GOAT know this and many are insecure over this fact.

He could easily average 40, even 45-50 wouldn't be out of the possible if he really wanted.
James Harden just averaged 36ppg and he isn't close to being an all time top 10 player, let alone scorer, he just has enormous usage rate and free throw shooting.
MJ wouldn't average 40 though, except in the finals, which I think he'd probably do that every season.
In the regular season and playoffs I think he would more likely average a 35-10-10 tripple double. He would play a game similar to Westbrook, except with more smarts and money from midrange. That would yield the most results against most teams.
In the finals, he would likely move more off ball and add in some Curry mix. I think 40-8-8 every finals.

No one is averaging 40 with load management.
Could he? Yes.
Would he? No.

Why would mj need load management though? He played all 82 almost every year in a way more physical era. That said I don't think he's averaging 40. Phil wanted mj to move the ball more and utilize his teammates more in the triangle. I say he'd average around 35

Because it's the norm, it has nothing to do with a player ability to handle it.

It's the norm for guys who are injury prone or coming off of injury. It's also the norm for guys who arnt insanely competitive. Mj was notorious for his competitiveness. There's no way he sits regardless of the era.

It's the norm for everyone, no one even averaged 37 mins last season.
During the 2002-2003 season, furthest espn goes back, you had 38 players, with plenty in the 40's MPG.

The dude who was the head of operations of the team whose successful winning strategy was to let Bran take wide open jumpshots and chuck his team to losses would 100% know what he's talking about.

So now your talking minutes? I could see him maybe reducing his minutes but no way he takes games off

If Harden can average 36 then no shit Jordan can average 40
Most superstars can average 40 given the amount of touches but it's a losing brand of basketball to have one player score all of the points

Yes, Lebron can average 40 is he shoots 38%.
That's better than AI who couldn't even average 30 at +40%. Different time though. Lebron's 40ppg finals would have been at like 35% shooting back in AI's day.

That was imply, playing less games wouldn't impact your average.
