An exercise in what could happen, not saying it'll happen BUT let's just play out this scenario...

An impeachment inquiry is now actually happening...let's say things really go downhill for Trump. Subpoenas are handed out like they're going out of style, Trump's shit is brought out to the public, the American people are now 60-40 in favor of removing Trump (polls right now aren't that far off and we've barely just begun). Trump's people turn on him to save their own asses. Impeachment proceedings go through a Democratic majority Congress. Senate Republicans mindful of their political fortunes go with the majority. Trump get's convicted...under this scenario and knowing how Trump refuses to admit defeat, does he refuse to leave? As Commander in Chief, would he resort to the US military to stay in power? Does he rile up his 35-40% of the American people who support him to take to the streets? Will he fill his supporters with conspiracy theories about the Deep State doing him dirty? Can we actually see another American Civil War between those in urban areas who want him out and rural folk who support him?

Obviously this is all wild speculation and just throwing this as just one of many scenarios but post your predictions here whatever they may be...

Personally, I think Trump will be impeached by Congress with a few Republicans mixed in (from Democratic districts), he'll barely survive the Senate (enough Republicans will stick with him seeing that he's still largely supported by the GOP base) but he will be damaged enough that he will lose in 2020, especially if it's against Biden, despite his gaffes. He resonates way better than HC ever could in the Rust Belt, he'll win those states that already lean Blue but that Trump took in 2016...

I have no prediction because I prefer analyzing policy impact, rather than political gossip and scandal. I dont care about any of this.
