Oddly enough though, I think this is a bad move for NK. They should have just continued stringing Trump along instead of breaking off negotiations with him. They already resumed shooting missiles and even shot one from a sub which is going to be a huge problem. Yet Trump hasn't done damn thing to curb them and continues to kiss Kim's ass because he's been so desperate for a win. Now he will have no choice but to act tough again.

It was something he was trying to claim from a pr standpoint, but in reality you're right, nothing was accomplished. To be fair there was nothing majorly wrong with Trump trying something new because nothing has worked. But the problem of course is that Trump has no true interest in doing the right thing and only engaged here because he wants to try and look better than Obama.

What are the odds that not only was it pure pr, he was negotiating for himself and perhaps selling out the US in the process.

It was bad enough that he legitimized them and recognized them (which is what Kim wanted), but who knows what else he gave Kim.
