Let's be honest

Nobody really fhuckin can even tell this is a different arena watching the game

Inside the arena it feels pretty much the exact same I guarantee

A seat with a look at a court that looks pretty much just like the other one and a screen above just like the other one

They say shit all the time whenever any team gets a new arena, all you hear is "what a gorgeous new facility, what a sparkling new arena etc"

Hell I'm a Kings fan and I been to Arco arena and the new golden one center and literally the game feels pretty much the same, tbh I prefer the old Arco arena

But seriously, what really is the ****in point in spending a billion dollars every 15 years for another place to throw a round ball into a hoop?

Shit, to think my Kings almost moved because of the fact that they demanded a new arena, wow

I agree with every word of this and have nothing further to add. You said it all. Good job

Of course the play by play broadcasters are going to chat about it like girls, they get all the inclusive 5* entrees and goodies that come with courtside seats.

Wouldn't you if it was your job to travel arena to arena 9 months a year :confusedshrug:

Yeah but seriously

It's a turn off to anyone with a brain

Like out here bragging about spending a billion on a replica of your last building while we at home watching these games after a long hard day at the coal mines :lol

Seriously it's almost disrespectful at this point

What do you mean bro? San Fransisco is the home of liberal utopia socialism and wealth parity.

The people enjoying those new luxury amenities at Warriors games are just everyday 9-5 Americans rooting for their team.... arent they???

But the real fans spend hundreds/thousands on private seat license and season tickets for these arenas, 41+ games every year. Not the 240p illegal chinese streamers

Some of the club memberships just to be able to dine at the restaurants inside cost up to 5k a year. And that's just the club fee to be allowed in to them

These aren't real fans

They're the cream of the crop rich folks in the bay mixed in with families who are spending their entire Christmas budget for a night out to see their team

Blue collar cities get new stadiums and they get renovated often as well.

Not every ticket league wide is $200 nose bleeds. You can get a nice spot at the Q for $85 a pop

Split season tickets with 4 or so friends, it comes out to a couple grand a year per.

It's not unrealistic. But prices will influx like any other supply/demand

I was thinking the same thing last night. Absolutely nobody cares about a new arena on TV. The last time I remember even being interested how one looked was the one Jerry Jones built. The stadium the Falcons play in looks crazy driving by it but I don

It was a pre-season game, what else do they have to talk about?

I feel like Oracle Arena was better, especially before they jacked the prices up and drove all the real fans out of there, no way will they replicate that atmosphere in SF.

But San Francisco is the area of the successful.... they have an arena by the bay.
I was driving by it and can see the bridge.

It’s a money grab. The only people who benefit are developers, executives and civic leaders. New arenas are only marketed to the corporate fans who buy luxury boxes. The money we spend as regular fans go to market to the upper niche corporate fans. A microcosm of society.

I’ve been to the old LA sports arena, the forum and staples center as a regular fan, and the experience and quality of each were identical to me. The only difference were the prices.

I also hate how new arenas are branded as city redevelopment projects. They only ever turn the locations they’re built in into sterile tourist infested ‘entertainment districts’ and end up raising the rent in the neighborhoods they’re built in.

It's not just for basketball, these are for all entertainment events. It's supposed to be a lot better for concerts, due to the update in acoustics.

Arco was a dumpster fire, and promoters was turning them down. Now NCAA is hosting some of March Madness rounds here.

I see a lot of hate here. The warriors have been planning the new arena for years.
