Terry cumming, Ben Wallace, James johnson, Charles oak, David west or maybe Anthony Mason? I got Ben Wallace. I don't think ive ever seen him fight but the way he pushed world Peace across the floor you could tell dude is a beast.

Who do you think wins between Ben Wallace + Lebron vs a Silverback Gorilla?

Rodman. All that sexual identity crisis, awful youth, etc turned him into someone who was completely immune to physicality.

now he's not the dude who would win the most fights if that's what you mean, but he is the guy who will pick himself up the most, I think. Who will never stop going in for his squad.

speaking of Jordan getting ****ed in the ass, I forgot about how savage the play at 1:25 of this video was.

he murdered his teammate too.

Bird. Nobody suffered more painfull injuries and still was playing heck even when he had no mobility left in the early 90s.

yea I guess if you count playing hurt as toughness you're probably right.

But I still think if I got a secret and someone is being sent to a torture chamber, I'm taking Rodman to keep the secret. Bird is a good choice, too.

Isiah Thomas said that if you put Bird, Jordan, Magic, and him in a room that Bird would probably be the one coming out. Larry Bird was a G.

Aside from that the top toughest NBA players of all time are probably some scrubs none of us known because they weren't good enough at playing basketball to even remember.

physical decades ago era - was nothing like the soft NBA now.

It has to go to a guy in the trenches - I pick Moses Malone.

He was in the 100% of the time , boards , put backs, defense.

Zeke also said if Bird were black, he would just be another regular ballplayer

not that im questioning Bird's toughness, just that Isiah spews sh1t sometimes

Probably Kobe, Westbrook or Jordan. The motor and intensity those guys had is unmatched. Kobe won 2 titles on one leg and a broken index finger, Jordan played on bad knees and fingers in his 2nd 3-Peat as well but looked great for all 48 minutes of a game when he needed to. I think the ability to play through injuries says a lot about a players' toughness. Some will call for a sub for a mildly sprained ankle and others will try to keep playing even when they injure their knee (Rondo or Klay come to mind). Heck, you gotta give Durant credit for coming back on a torn calf/achilles and risking a rupture in his contract year no less.

Fighting doesn't say much about toughness IMO, a lot of players act like they want it but don't do shit and wait for their teammates to come in and "hold them back". Artest and Wallace were straight up psychos though, I'd add Jermaine O'Neal and Karl Malone to that list as well.

Anthony Mason

Pippen would take 1 look at him and turn into a puppy. I know this because I loved those 90s Knicks. Than LJ came (in that trade for Mason + whatever) and Pippen started winning that matchup. As much as I love LJ as well, Mason had my heart.

RIP buddy <3

Lol, that dude was a pyscho :oldlol:

In 92, the XMan give Pip fits with his rough play, almost beat the Bulls in the ECFs because Pippen was straight up scurred of McDaniel...then the next year the Knicks inexplicably let McDaniel go, brought in softie Charles Smith and Pippen killed the Knicks in the 93 ECFs, had one of his best series of his career.

What the Knicks gained in offense with Smith, they lost in brutal physical defense, Smith and even Mason were a walk in the park for Pip compared to the X Man. I still believe to this day that had the Knicks kept McDaniel, they would've beaten the Bulls in 93.

I cried when Charles Smith kept missing those layups. Smith and Starks are my #1 and #2 Knicks that are on my shit list. Knicks should at least have had a couple of championships in the 90's.

Depends what you mean by tough.

If they're all gonna fight, I think Wilt beats anyone. The alpha of all alphas.

Smak's hypothetical about the torture chamber would have me pick Rodman as well.

I think Iverson deserves to be mentioned for his fearlessness and ability to face adversity. He was a brave lil toaster.

Just gotta give a shout out to my man Zeke. He was about as competitive as it gets. From throwing punches at Cartwright to getting 40 stitches from Malone to choking his assistant coach on TV to his crazy finals quarter in 1988. Dude was a KILLER. Assassin. Pure desire to destroy the opposition.

He obviously gets such a bad rap because he went up against 3 of the most popular stars ever in MJ, Bird and Magic.

Metta wasn't tough, he was a punk. Dude always picked on guys he can punk but when guys stood up to him, he backed down like against Wallace. Metta also didn't want none of Kobe too in the 2009 playoffs when Kobe elbowed him on the neck.

Ehh when did these guys have a rep for being tough? Ewing is pretty much a bitch for letting Pippen dunk, then step all over him, and doing nothing.

By nature, guards can't be "enforcers" but Anthony, Starks and Harper were all gritty, in your face guards. And Harper was an excellent defender.
