I watch a YouTuber that actually lives in China, he's originally from Australia and he married a Chinese prenatal doctor.

Anyway...to update his videos he has to do either one of two things usually. Take a trip over to Hong Kong. You can't simply just go to Hong Kong, you have to go through a border area. It's like a totally separate part from the China mainland that is more Westernized than mainland China. Less internet laws, etc.

Or you use a VPN to change your IP address to log onto whatever website you want to. China has many VPN's blocked, but there are many that still work.
