View Full Version : The main knock on LeBron is that he loses too much

Ok then why does he have the 2nd most FMVP

What does it mean when a guy with multiple FMVPs is still known as a career loser? It means he’s lost a fvcking LOT.

Lebron is like the 90s Atlanta Braves. No baseball fan thinks of those braves as an all time great team.

No one calls LeBron a loser besides butthurt kobetards and insecure Jordan stans . I guess there are a few other rabid haters with no affiliation to those groups but it’s mostly these stanbases that say this shit.

He has twice as many losses and directly hands the FMVP over to his opponent on most occasions

He also achieved nothing without colluding multiple times and got bailed out 2 out of the 3 times by the 2 biggest shots in nba history.

He also couldn't even make the playoffs once he got to a real conference...despite activating playoff mode.
East playoff mode does not cut it in real conference.

He's an empty stats, empty hype loser

Depends on how you look at it. Considering the losing apparently only counts in the finals if he lost before that in say....11, 14, 17, and 18 it

Do you ever stop and think about how much of your real life is dedicated to making these arguments?

You've been on this forum for five years, and have been posting the same shit about LeBron on a daily basis the entire time. I'd say a conservative minimum for how many times you say virtually the same things you've said here is twice a day on average.

That estimate has you making this same case something in the neighborhood of 3,600 times.

Is LeBron's legacy really so important to you that you need to repeat yourself over three thousand times about him? Let's say tomorrow, all of the hype magically vanishes, everyone suddenly agrees with you, ESPN writes off LeBron as an overrated career loser who colluded and got bailed out. Do you think you would stop? Could you?

I am not a LeBron fan. I am just sincerely fascinated by the obsession he inspires in weirdos like you. I cannot fathom being so driven to make the same arguments on such a constant, sustained basis about something so meaningless. It's insanely stupid.

Considering the losing apparently only counts in the finals

Chauncey, Dwight, Iggy and others didn't have star casts either, so is their losing from 2008-2010 excused too like Lebron's is?

:facepalm

Losing counts when you have a team good enough to beat the competition you face - so Lebron's 2004-2010 career counts because he played in a conference where many guys were making it with weak casts

Infact, that time period showed his carrying ability with a non-star cast very clearly - he couldn't lead a non-star cast over a good team, such as a top 5 SRS team, or a high-50's win team, even as the heavy favorite... :confusedshrug:

Indeed, Lebron couldn't lead his #1 SRS team over Dwight's #4 SRS team - so Lebron couldn't lead a non-star cast over a good team... Otoh, we already know MJ carried a very weak cast to the maximum (his #10 SRS team beat the #1 SRS in 1989

if he lost before that in say....11, 14, 17, and 18 it’s “less” losing and a better career. Which kinda suggests he wins too much.

No, this pre-2011 playoff career showed that he couldn't carry a non-star cast over a good team, and his post-2011 career showed he mostly loses with all-star teammates - only 3/7 with multiple all-star teammates.

Less playoffs wins=less losing in the finals. The players not called losers almost all spent more of their careers losing early than he did. Hakeem for one lost “less” by winning way way less. It’s obviously more complicated than that but with both sides being so willing to make things as simple as possible for the sake of bumper sticker arguments they can spam back and forth....him winning too much works.

No, you just don't understand that the CP3/Nash/Lebron skillset has always resulted in lower ceilings, less ball movement, and less winning at the championship level..

The only reason Lebron didn't have the same perennial losing fate as his fellow ball-dominators is because he team-hopped for enough talent to win with his suboptimal style.

But carry on in ignorance.. It won't get you far.. That I can tell you
.

You just tried to excuse Lebron's pre-2011 career

that means ur overrating him

carry on

weak conferences like the East are good because they show a player's carrying ability - Lebron couldn't carry a non-star cast over a good team pre-2011, and he mostly loses with multiple all-stars post-2011..

but keep overrating him

Yeah, it is. But at least 3ball goes into more depth and mixes it up. He actually talks basketball... the obsession is just as astounding... maybe moreso... but he's not as repetitive. That's the part that really gets me. "colluded, weak conference, 3/9, bailout shots"... my god. It's all just so generic and boring.

Because he lost 6 finals and only won 3, despite alltime stacked teams that where handpicked by himself.

That's why he isn't known as a winner. Eazy!

It's not the losses so much as the feeling that a lot of his reputation is based on unwarranted hype. How on earth can he be placed above Duncan for example when the Spurs swept him the first time and then in the end forced him out of Miami? Makes one question everything said about his career and on closer inspection one sees a lot of cracks.
