That last trip of Stockton hurt his leg. Here's Dennis letting him know they can fight about it...and Johns response:

Which was "**** you...crazy son of a bitch".

Series had several ejections. Rodman one game...Tom Chambers...Jerry Sloan. Stockton got a little physical himself:

But if youre 7'1'' and built like a god the way Drob was and Stockton is pushing you around...you deserve it.

6 days after he drops 71 in a game that didnt matter Drob had 12 points on 2 of 14 shooting. Next game he went 8-21 as they lost by 33.

So no...the Spurs did not win the series. Rodman put up 8 points and 16 rebounds a game which couldnt make up for the fact Drob no showed and had no offensive help to begin with...

So this isnt about a Rodman victory....its just something that happened. And I like to make a Rodman topic every 6 months or so.....

That season was f'n terrible.

However, Rodman was a joy to watch and I remember how excited everyone was that someone finally started some shit with the Jazz.

The crowd went insane after those incidents. Stockton's elbows were hardly talked about then, but well known to the franchise by this point.

Robinson for all his talent just wasn't going to mix it up with anybody. Hell, I can remember quite possibly the only two times he got slightly aggressive because they were so unusual.

I think he shoved Shaq after Shaq popped him and he tossed Garnett aside like a child while he was going after Joe Smith's scrub ass in Minnesota during the playoffs.

Very minor, but shit Spurs fans were starving here...

Negele Knight and Vinny Del Negro started in the backcourt that year.......

God bless, those were hard times. Better off forgotten.

Dang he clobbered the hell out of Malone.

:lol

A wwe style goon, how did he get so jacked after being skinny on Detroit.

No wonder Phil called him the best athlete he ever seen.

I remember reading he took his anger and depression out in the weight room around this time period.

Was a gym rat his whole life though.

I've read two books start to finish my whole life.

Some dumb ass Janet Evanovich book in jail.

And Rodman's autobiography when I was a kid.

I remember being turned on as he so freely talked about his first sexual encounter with Madonna.

And I remember him being 5'11 at 20 and 6'6 by 21; I've never known of anyone to grow so much so late.

And him knocking the hell out of Malone was well deserved; Malone's flying elbows were absolute savagery.

From Rodman's book about that series,

Steve Kerr called Stockton a dirty bastard on NBA tv once. Him being dirty was well known but a small guy can get away with it. Im sure everyone respected him....but knew he was dirty too. Rodman on Stockton was dirt on dirt crime but a lot of fans wouldnt see it that way.

The fluidity and willingness of Dennis Rodman to use his body as a weapon is amazing to me. He's almost like a martial artist out there.

The way he got under dude and just shed him like that. It usually didn't even look like he was purposely swinging on people. That stuff he did on Malone was a rare event.
